Happily Never After 🦇
& Confessions! at Komedia, Brighton.

03/10/2026

Last night at Komedia was a hoot!
Your confessions took us far and wide, culminating in a wild tale through Preston Park at night, as a baddies disrupted the Oasis of Calm and an undercover Constable Bundle saved the day.

Thanks to all the audience for sharing your delightful stories, especially our live confessor Julia (pictured), and the whole team at Komedia.

We’re back at Komedia Brighton on Dec 4th for more shenanigans.

Until then, stay naughty! 😉

Bristol - this Halloween The Maydays are coming out to play! We're bringing Happily Never After to the Bristol Improv Theatre.

A darkly comedic, twisted musical tale spun from gothic themes and warped fairy tales. Starting from one audience suggestion, we'll conjure a gothic story that’s completely different every time, brought to life with an improvised live soundtrack and songs.

Whether you’re after a dark thrill or just a brilliantly funny night out, this is the perfect way to spend your Halloween weekend.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 'Fantastic performances… improvisational theatre at its best' – Broadway Baby

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 'Emotionally touching, incredibly funny, rich in narrative twists and charm' - The Reviews Hub

We had such a blast at Improdrom Festival in Bydgoszcz, Poland.

Some wonderful workshops, met super people and did a dark and fun musical inspired by carpenter - which saw the trees rise up in revenge and people grow roots, with some wild cuckoo clocks and enchanted chairs along the way…
Our first international Happily Never After show for a few years and it was lovely to get a standing ovation for it :)

Huge thanks to all the team at the theatre for their wonderful space (a revolving stage AND a trapdoor! good times!) and their technical expertise. Big up to all the improvisers who played, performed and explored, and of course everyone involved in organising , especially .

IDziękujemy za Państwa gościnność

It was fantastic!

Such fun at tonight! Adventures on Welsh beaches with special bubble tea and a tale that took us deep into Leamington Spa where there was an ‘anomaly’ ;)
