Wow!!! We lived up to our name last night!

2 new performers joined our cast and absolutely smashed it! The audience reaction was brilliant and the after show discussion was full of positive energy and insight. Love and Prison.

Not 2 subjects that are very often considered together. But that is exactly what Invisible Sentence does.

How does it feel to love someone who is serving a prison sentence?

How can love survive?

The odds of reoffending are 39% lower for a prisoner who receives visits from a partner or family member than for a prisoner who does not. Therefore this should be important to all of us and yet it’s something most of us have never even thought about.

It makes you think, doesn’t it?

Last but definitely not least...the fifth of our founding company of 5 Actors.... Martin Coates.

Martin grew up in Seaford, East Sussex and graduated from the Central School of Speech and Drama from the BA Acting course in 2019. He has appeared in a short film called 'The Honeymakers' and at the Camden Fringe in 'F**k Freud'.

Martin has written 2 plays and is currently writing a sitcom with his housemate.

The Birthday Party, by Jezebel Simpson.

Jezebel is a recent graduate from East 15 Acting School. During her time at Drama School her roles included Arkadina in ‘The Seagull’, Feste in ‘Twelfth Night’ and Paula in ‘Motortown’ By Simon Stephens. She also competed for her school at the BBC Carleton Hobbs Competition where she was awarded ‘Best Shakespeare’ across all of the drama schools. Shortly after graduating, Jezebel featured in Lewis Capaldi’s music video for ‘Someone You Loved’’. Jezebel loves to write and direct her own work, and enjoys theatre that really packs a punch emotionally and socio-politically.

If she was a biscuit she would DEFINITELY be a party ring.
