What a wonderful few days it has been! I’ve loved sharing our new collections, seeing familiar faces, making new connections, and celebrating the incredible creativity of our artists.

A huge thank you to everyone who has joined us for Out of the Blue 2026. Your enthusiasm for this event, feedback and support mean so much.

Today is Day 3 and the final day of this year’s showcase. We can’t wait for all of the conversations still to come and to share more of the work we’ve been developing over the past six months. The journey continues... and my thoughts are already beginning to turn to Out of the Blue 2027. Have a great day!

✨We start today! 🦋✨

I’m so excited to be hosting the fifth edition of our annual virtual Illustration Showcase over the next three days.

For the past six months, my artists and I have been working collaboratively to create extraordinary new collections filled with depth, range and personality. Each artist has responded to my creative briefs and feedback in their own highly individual way, resulting in a truly unique body of work. Every piece has been newly and especially created for Out of the Blue 2026.

We’re delighted to be fully booked with client meetings over the next three days and are so grateful for the wonderful support and feedback we receive from the publishers and clients who join us each year.

And finally, a huge thank you to my incredibly talented and dedicated artists, who bring such care, imagination and creativity to this very special event.

M A N D Y ✨ J ✨ T A I T • It’s my absolute pleasure to be introducing the hugely talented artist and illustrator - Mandy J Tait Mandy J Tait at our Illustration Showcase next week; Out of the Blue 2026.

Mandy J Tait is an illustrator originally from the Shetland Islands and now based in rural Aberdeenshire. Her work celebrates storytelling, pattern, and texture often drawing inspiration from nature, everyday observations, and her background in traditional printmaking. Her award-winning illustration has been exhibited at the V&A and her practice now combines the tactile qualities of printmaking with digital techniques, creating imagery that is bold and stylised. Rich in texture and imagination, I’m a huge fan of Mandy’s work and can’t wait to share her hot off the press collection at Out of the Blue on 16th-18th June.
