Welcome to Brighton Acapella!

We’re a small, informal group of singers who meet on Monday evenings at Stephen’s flat. While Graham leads the singing, everyone contributes ideas and opinions as we work towards a couple of performances each year.

Our repertoire spans a wide range of styles—from classical to pop, with a touch of jazz in between—and members have a say in what we sing. At the moment, our set includes Fix You, Danny Boy, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Good Vibrations, Lux Aeterna, Let's Do It, and Full Fathom Five, among others. We typically cover six or seven songs per session, spending several weeks refining new pieces.

We operate on a voluntary contribution basis—no one is paid; we’re all equally responsible for creating a great sound!

To join, you’ll need basic music reading skills and a love for singing unaccompanied. On a good night, we have 10 to 12 singers, though numbers fluctuate as we’re a drop-in group. Right now, we’re especially looking for tenors and basses.

Our maximum capacity is 16—it is a flat, after all!
