🎻 Moving Forwards is a violin solo with a story at its heart. Written as a Christmas present for Martyn’s daughter, it captures the feeling of growing, learning, and stepping confidently into what comes next.

The piece follows a clear A1–B–A2 structure, ending with a return to the opening theme — this time voiced higher, brighter, and full of accomplishment. It’s expressive, encouraging, and perfect for late‑beginner players who want music that means something.

Thoroughly enjoyed last night's concert featuring the Bare-faced Violas, the evening was full of variety and my piece 'Wondering past considerations' was beautifully played with great expression and feeling.

This was a joint concert between New Music Brighton St Luke's Music & W**e.

The audience seemed to enjoy my piece and I received some nice feedback.

The sheetmusic for this arrangement will be available to buy online soon and I may consider arranging it for a string quartet - we shall see.
