Sometimes healing isn’t always deep conversations or big breakthroughs… sometimes it’s just playing with your pet for 10 minutes and realising your brain finally went quiet for a second 🐾🤍

Animals are amazing at bringing us into the present moment.
No overthinking. No rushing. No worrying about tomorrow. Just play, connection and curiosity.

It’s actually very similar to hypnosis in a way — both help interrupt the constant stress loops and bring the brain back into a calmer, safer state.

One of the biggest myths about hypnotherapy is that you have to be “good at hypnosis” or go into a very deep trance for it to work.

In reality, trance is a natural state that we all experience every day. You remain aware, in control, and able to hear everything that’s being said.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is very different from stage hypnosis. It’s a modern, evidence-based approach that combines neuroscience, solution-focused psychotherapy, and hypnosis to help you create positive, lasting change.

The goal isn’t to make you go deeper into trance.

Why Advice Often Doesn’t Work

The brain doesn’t always like being directly told what to do 🧠✨

Especially when someone is stressed, anxious or overwhelmed, the conscious mind can become defensive or resistant:
“Relax.”
“Calm down.”
“Stop overthinking.”

Usually… that just creates more pressure.

Metaphors and stories work differently because they engage the brain in a softer, less confrontational way.

Research shows storytelling activates multiple brain regions linked to emotion, imagination, sensory processing and memory — not just logical thinking.

This allows the unconscious mind to create meaning and insight more naturally, without feeling forced or criticised.

It’s one of the reasons metaphor is used so much in hypnosis, psychotherapy, coaching and even teaching. The brain learns best through emotional association, imagery, repetition and experience — not just information alone 🤍
