Happy Bank Holiday Monday ✨️

I have a few things to say;

⭐️ Free Palestine, Congo, Sudan, Haiti, Tigray, Kashmir and all the counties that are victims of genoc!de, oppression, white supremacy and having displacement forced upon them. Don't ever stop talking about what's happening in these places. None of us are free until they all are.

⭐️ If you haven't come to The BOSCO Theatre or Brighton Spiegeltent on Mondays this month (what the HECK have you been doing??!), tonight is the last chance to catch the some circus-filled life-drawing action! Put together by the wonderful The theme for this evening is "Spring" and the event starts at 7pm 🎪 tickets available in my Linktree ✨️

⭐️ Brand-spankin' new content has been added to my Patreon. Including a reference portrait photo set named "A Pop of Blue", studio sessions, more reference photographs/poses from Brighton Spiegeltent life-drawing circus and a first glimpse of what the mixtape will sound like via our studio session with Mrisi 🎶

⭐️ I am self-employed full-time, which often requires a lot of content creating. I love and enjoy being a creative babe. Having a Patreon/content behind a pay wall helps me out financially, which I need desperately in this cozier livs. What doesn't help me financially, is when people "join for free". Patreon added this option and I don't know why, but what I do know is that it's hurting creatives like myself. If you are a patron who has joined for free, pretty please with jollof on top, I kindly implore you to subscribe to a paid tier🙏🏾 And if you aren't subscribed to Preezy's Patreon and you have the skrilla, it would mean the world 🥹 tiers starting from £3 a month (for the babes on a budget), and the £10 and £20 tiers will give you exclusive Priss Nash Poetry and TANZANITE merchandise 💎

Thank you for reading, stay hydrated 🩵

I have had the most creative, unexpected, busy and wonderful start to 2024. My vacation in Ghana did me a world of good and I'm carrying that energy forward ✨️

I've recently taken some new reference photographs for life-drawing, both costume and half-nude pictures for sale: "Preezy in The Matrix", "Lilac Seated" and the "Valentine's Is Coming, Where Is Your Boyfriend?" set ♥️ Available on my Patreon and/or you can DM me for prices (posts are not for sale, if you'd like to draw these pictures please open your purse 👛 😘)

Still taking a break from poetry and will continue to for a while - it's needed. BUT, I am breaking my poetry sabbatical for one night only to perform some words at Caz's Surgery Fundraiser on the 13th of Feb 🎤 my sibling needs to raise some skrilla so come through for a day of performances, cabaret, zine-making, art and a raffle 🎉 tickets available in my bio 🎟 🏳️‍⚧️

Music is coming along nicely and I can't wait to share with you what's been cooking 🎼

Start as you mean to go on, stay blessed and hydrated 🩵

Hey people in my phone 👋🏾 I've got some announcements to make:

⭐️ This Saturday 18th November, I'll be taking part in Zoom Life Drawing Marathon: Gaza Fundraiser For Medical Aid. 100% of the profits are going to 🍉 21 models from around the globe are coming together to bring you 10.5 hours of life drawing between London GMT time: 8:30am-7:00pm om zoom. tickets available in my Linktree 🇵🇸

⭐️ On Monday 20th November, I will be running a creative writing workshop on grief, solidarity+community in honour of Trans Day of Remembrance 🏳️‍⚧️ Brighton & Hove LGBT Switchboard would like to invite members of the Trans, Non-binary and Intersex community to attend this special and free event 😊 More details and tickets are available in my Linktree 💗

⭐️ This is a big one: I'm taking a break from (performing) poetry for a while. I've wanted to chill for a minute, but kept pushing &performing because I felt like I "had to".
I'll keep it real: in July this year I had a ✨️psychotic breakdown✨️ and I honestly don't think I've properly recovered still. Then a month later an absolute madness happened & it broke the little mental stability I had left. Ya boi is triggered and exhausted. Currently, I'm not leaving the house, replying to messages or meeting up with people (unless it's for work) because I genuinely cannot handle being seen or perceived right now. I don't have the energy to entertain, mask or act like I'm okay. I've been running on empty for a long time and I can't keep pouring from an empty cup. Call me Ian Beale cause "I'VE GOT NUFFINK LEFT!" 😭 Seriously though, I haven't given myself the love, attention or time to process things that I need this year so I'm taking a break to focus on myself and my mixtape

⭐️ I'm working on making music again 🎶 For those who don't know, I have a band called TANZANITE and I'm a rapper named King Preezy 👑 the whole reason I moved to Brighton was to pursue music and until recently, I hadn't done it for years. I need to return to myself in every aspect of life and getting back in the studio is a healing start. Keep an eye out for the return/reintroduction of Tanzanite 💎

Big love, Preezy out ✌🏾♥️

Happy Black History Month! 🤎

I pray that during this sacred month, everyone will move with sense, pay Black creatives APPROPRIATELY AND ON TIME and come correct in the places they need too. There's been a lot of mad movement around this town lately (anti-Blackness in "community" spaces, Misogynoir, colourism/light-skin-tears, lack of accountability, asking Black performers to work for free/split door fee etc) and I say this in the most (dis)respectful way, I am having none of it. This world wouldn't spin without Black people and our magic so let's all be guided individuals. Hire us, pay us, listen to us, respect us - not just this month but continually.

NOW FOR THE OL' RAZZLE DAZZLE

⭐️ This Saturday 7th October I'll be modelling online for 4pm class, tickets available in their bio 🍑

⭐️ On Friday 13th October I'll be with ***rfest
Talking about rewriting q***rness and how to create q***r safe spaces. There will be an open mic during this event too so if anyone from the public has any poetry to share or questions to ask myself and others in this event, I strongly encourage you to come along and share your truths 🥰🏳️‍⚧️ Starting from 8:30pm at the ACCA

⭐️ Then on Saturday 14th October I'll be sharing some poetic words at "Celebrating Our Sisters", an event for Black History Month put on by the wonderful Lewes District Anti-Racism Alliance ❣️2-5pm at the Hillcrest Centre in Newhaven and it's FREE, so come down for an afternoon of talks, performances and sensational vibes

⭐️ Reminder that "Part Of A Story That Started Before Me" is still available to buy anywhere and everywhere you purchase books! 📚 Remember in the poem "Wake Up" when .thepoet and I said "Wake up and educate yourself on Black History. Wake up and educate your loved ones on Black History" ? This is what we meant. Support the artists who are in this book, read the tings and tell your friends 🗣

Stay hydrated and move with sense, besties 🌻

Yesterday was a VERY special day for two big reasons:

1) 27th of June is my sober birthday, marking 3 (THREE!!!) whole years being teetotal/not drinking alcohol! 🎉 Absolutely nuts that I've kept it up this long, especially as the last 18 months have been TESTING ME every which way 🥲 I'm incredibly proud of myself for sticking to it and dedicating every day to being a better version of myself, for myself, and the people around me 🤎 (Also 3 years since I started taking anti-depressys so two slaps on my chest for choosing mental stability over being a messy hö) - MORE LIFE!! 🎊

2) My copies of "Part Of A Story That Started Before Me" arrived!!! 📚 When I tell you I was sobbing uncontrollably on the floor for a whole hour after opening the package 😭 I can't express enough how much it's an honour to be one of the contributers on "Part Of A Story That Started Before Me" - a poetry anthology about Black British History written by Black British writers, curated by George The Poet. MY WHOLE LIFE, I've wanted to be a writer and I can't even lie this is a dream come true 🥰 from uni drop-out to published author, I am so so proud of what I've achieved 🥺 The collection comes out in stores on July 13th and is available to pre-order now via the link on my bio. A plethora of talent is in this book, with the works of George The Poet, Simply Sayo, Kelechi Okafor, Repeat Beat Poet, Tré Ventor, AFLO.The Poet, Benjamin Zephaniah, John Agard and so many more Black British legends 🙌🏾

A lot of happy-crying and gratitude yesterday, thankful for it all. MASSIVE thank you to Penguin platform/Penguin Books, George The Poet and all the wonderful people who made this anthology possible ❣️

And to my inner child - you did it, mate😘

And I get to share this experience with fellow Brighton-based poet/my soul mate AFLO. the poet - how amazing is that?! ✨️
