Our Mamma Mia Paint & Sip is coming to The Pickled Pheasant in Holmbridge, just outside Holmfirth — and this one is made for a proper Saturday afternoon out.

Think painting, unlimited drinks, ABBA classics, plenty of laughs and absolutely no painting experience needed.

Our charity Paint & Sip afternoon in aid of Overgate Hospice has had an amazing response, and we’re now down to the final 6 places. 🎨🥂

For every £45 ticket sold, £15 is donated directly to Overgate Hospice — and Canvas & Cava is matching that with another £15.

That means every one of these final seats helps contribute £30 to Overgate Hospice, before we even count the charity raffle and any additional donations on the day. ❤️

We wanted October to feel special, and these first two images have absolutely set the tone. Bold, beautiful, completely different from one another — and genuinely two of our favourite releases yet.

Tomorrow at 7pm, we’ll be releasing the first two Canvas & Cava October dates at Czerwik, live and bookable on our website. 🎨🥂

And one of them is a first for us…

Meet Mr. Fox 🦊 — our first-ever landscape painting for a Canvas & Cava event, full of colour, character and perfect autumn tones.

These are only the first two October dates too. We’re still finalising the rest of the month, with more paintings and dates to be announced soon.

Did you know… some of our guests are genuinely TERRIFIED when they first sit down in front of that blank canvas? 🎨

And we really do mean terrified. 😳

We’ve welcomed ladies from 18 to 70+ who arrive telling us they haven’t painted since school, they can’t draw a stick person, or they’re only there because a friend has dragged them along.

Some are genuinely nervous about putting that first bit of paint on the canvas.

And then something lovely happens…

The first glass is poured. 🥂
The music’s playing.
Everyone starts painting.
The laughter begins.

And slowly, everyone stops worrying about whether they’re “good at art” and starts actually enjoying themselves.

Our award-winning artist guides you through the entire painting step-by-step, so you’re never simply handed a canvas and expected to know what you’re doing.

By the end?

Mamma Mia — Here We Go Again… 🥂

Calling all Dancing Queens—our very first Canvas & Cava event at The Pickled Pheasant is officially open for booking!

We’re beginning with an ABBA / Mamma Mia Paint & Sip Afternoon filled with colour, music, unlimited drinks and plenty of feel-good fun. 🎨

And yes, this is the painting you’ll be creating!
Inspired by the sun-soaked Greek-island setting of Mamma Mia, it features a bold blue doorway, vibrant bougainvillea, colourful ceramic pots and a glimpse of the sparkling sea. 🌊

Our award-winning artists will guide you through the painting one clear step at a time. No experience is needed—just take a chance on your inner artist and we’ll help you with the rest.

With ABBA and Mamma Mia playing, drinks flowing and the beautiful surroundings of The Pickled Pheasant, this promises to be a Super Trouper of an afternoon.
