we had an amazing first rehearsal today! 🤩
it was so lovely to be back rehearsing on stage after 3 looooong years away.
our chorus absolutely smashed the choreography we taught them today 🕺💃

CASTING CALL!!!

We have two roles left to fill in this year’s pantomime and could use your help in filling them.

Whitney or Britney (Belle’s Sister) - Tasteless and Greedy with outrageously common clothes and make up. They flounce about thinking they’re it but are selfish and spoilt.

Le Fou - a peculiar man or woman who runs the local lunatic asylum - they look like a madman or woman themselves.

2021 UPDATE!!

We am gutted to announce that the Pantomime in 2021 will not be going ahead. This is down to our wiring in the Parish Centre being condemned and we cannot put on a show until it's rewired safely.

This will cost the society £5.5k, which we do not have in funds. As a society, any profit we make from the pantomime goes towards the next years show, meaning we don't have any reserves for large expenditure such as this.

However, we are mega determined to be able to put on a show in 2022 so we have created a GoFundMe to raise the money needed for rewiring and new lighting (total cost ~£10k)

Please share this with your friends, family, colleagues and community.

Donations big or small are so gratefully received and will guarantee the continuation of our amazing pantomimes for years to come!

If we manage to raise the money we so desperately need sooner rather than later, we may be able to put in a variety show in the Spring so watch this space!

Hi All.

Next week should be our show week but for obvious reasons it’s not going ahead 😭

We do however have a St Matts special for you all.

On Friday 4th December @ 7:30pm and then again on Saturday 5th December @ 2:30pm we will be screening our final selfie pantomime - Beauty & The Beast by Warren McWilliams

The screening platforms are still to be decided but it will most likely be Facebook Live or YouTube.

Please share this post to spread the word to our wider panto family as we know people missed our first selfie panto.

We hope as many as you as possible can join us on either or both dates.

We have missed panto so much this year it’s being nice to atleast be able to provide some entertainment in challenging times

Sorry we haven’t been too active recently.

We are still here and we are currently in the process of putting some kind of show together for our normal show week at the start of December.

Obviously it won’t be in its usual form but we are planning on streaming a few bits and pieces across our social media platforms.

It’s safe to say we are still devastated that we have had to cancel this years panto.

However we are planning a showcase for our show week.

What would you like to see from us in terms of content?

It could be anything from Panto Highlights from years gone by, Singers, Musicians, Dancers, the sky’s the limit. The canvas is blank at the moment and you (our audience) are in control of what we produce this year.

2020 UPDATE

It is with a heavy heart that the committee has decided to cancel this year's Pantomime.

It wasn't an easy decision to make but we felt that with all the uncertainty surrounding COVID19 and the current advice currently available from the government for the Performing Arts, that it's the right decision as we don't want to risk our members health nor the financial situation of the society.

We hope to see you all again in 2021 but we have so much still to look forward to this year in the form of our Selfie Sequel and we also have something in the pipeline for our show week at the beginning of December with details to follow soon.

Tomorrow is the first ever St Matthew's Isolation Quiz.

The start time is 3pm, however the quiz room will be open from 2:30pm for you to join us.
