Gwen John, self portrait 1902 - now available in my Etsy shop. This was to be the first of a series on Great Women Artists, (I was going to do Artemisia Gentileschi Judith Slaying Holofernes and also Lady Butler’s the Roll Call but ran out of time!) interesting to see the Artemisia in a dollshouse.. maybe one with a gothic theme?! Thought about this when I found out in the National Gallery in London only 1% are by women artists in the permanent collection - for shame! And they’re not alone, museums are generally pants about equality. This Gwen John at least resides normally in the National Museum of Wales, Cardiff
