There was a good turnout and a lot of enthusiasm for Thursday's Come & Paint Session hosted by Bridport Art Society - Chinese Brush Painting with guest tutor Karen Hodgson.
There was a balanced mix of demonstration, exploration of materials and opportunities to practise. The painting techniques were largely new to participants and most left with a desire to learn more. There was something very calming about the processes!

Some materials such as rice paper and Sumi ink will be made available but other materials and equipment will need to be brought along, in particular, a Chinese Calligraphy Brush or Japanese Sumi Brush - available online.

The winner of the most popular artwork, as voted for by the public, at Bridport Art Society's Spring Exhibition was...
'West Bay', a linocut print by Ruth Frost.
So popular was this picture that we sold four signed and numbered copies of this limited edition print!
Ruth will receive an award and a certificate from the Society.
Congratulations Ruth!🥳

It's the FINAL DAY of Bridport Art Society's Spring Exhibition at the Salt House in West Bay, Dorset.
We've had a great week with lots of appreciative visitors and a good number of sales! 🩷
There is still time to vote for your favourite picture, so do pop in and see us.
The weather continues to be beautiful - how lucky are we?! 😃
