The last raffle rug made its way to London in time for Christmas, with a little help from Bridport Banter to find someone who could drop it off! Look at it in its perfect spot, it was meant to be. Report from winner Diane, ‘it’s very luxurious’. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

If you want to have something dynamic and joyful to do, in this New Year, 2025, consider a course at The Bridport Rug Lab!

The crowdfunder has had a bit of a slow start because Christmas took over! There are 11 days left to buy courses at these prices.

Once you pledge for a course, I will send you your voucher and dates which are available to book. They will run from mid February, through to December.

Courses are between £25-£300.

If you donate instead, you will be contributing to the free training for under 25’s, in rug-making, workshop assisting and eventually leading, studio maintenance, selling their work and many other skills. For every £15 donated, you will receive a voucher for the rug raffles, that will run every two months throughout the year.

So! If you would like to book you or your loved one a course at Rug Lab, you can through the crowdfunder. A brilliant Christmas present! The courses range from £25-£300.

The crowdfunder is mainly courses that will run throughout 2025, so once you pledge, I will send you your voucher and details of how to book a date. It is a vehicle for me to get some initial funding to create the functionality of the space and set up for up to 8 people making rugs at a time.

For some reason, it would not let me add tickets for the rug raffles, but if you simply donate, every £15 will get you a ticket, there will be a new rug every two months up for raffle, so you can decide which rug you would like to use your tickets for. The money for these will go directly to 1-2-1 classes for young teenagers who are not having the best time in mainstream school.

So I think I will make a bigger post, once next weeks angel sesh has happened, BUT these are the angels that were made on Saturday! My god, we had such a good time, while the wild winds were blowing, our minds were blowing over the characters emerging! Brill gang, brill angels. So here we have:

I love my Facebook memories in December, as every day of December, I am reminded of Christmas angels past.

CHRISTMAS ANGEL WORKSHOPS!

There are still a few spaces this Saturday 7th and next Saturday 14th to make your own! 7-10pm, all materials provided and a glass of wine from Selected Grapes! We shall have some nice Christmas songs on, and will get down and snazzy. I can’t wait to see what characters emerge!

Righty-ho. The crowdfunder is set up in time for this eve, just! There were a few hitches of course, just to create that slight nausea that seems mandatory when one tries to do something new! 😂

So, this is how you can book on to courses in the new year. Courses will run from mid-February throughout 2025. By committing to a course this year, you are not only truly treating yourself or someone else and planting a seed for an excellent 2025, but also you are helping me to get fully set up to be able to provide the courses!
