The Countdown to Showstoppers Begins🕺🏼🪩🎤

The choreography is taking shape, the harmonies are coming together and our performers are hard at work preparing a summer celebration of musical theatre that you won’t want to miss!

From “Oh, what a beautiful mornin’” to “Flash, bang, wallop, what a picture”, every rehearsal is packed with energy, laughter, exciting dance routines and plenty of showstopping moments.

Featuring music from Oklahoma!, Paddington: The Musical, Half a Sixpence and more…this musical theatre variety show promises stunning vocals, dynamic choreography, beautiful four-part harmonies and a whole lot of theatrical magic.

Celebrating the Magic of The Wizard of Oz 🪄

Nearly two months on from The Wizard of Oz, it’s still important to celebrate what a fantastic production it was.

A huge well done to all our performers for their energy, commitment and talent on stage. Thank you to the director, the backstage team, tech, front of house, costume, set constructing and prop teams for your hard work, creativity and teamwork behind the scenes.

What a wonderful Sunday afternoon at Spotlight Theatre! 🎻✨

We were delighted to welcome the talented Ebor String Quartet from York, who treated our audience to a fantastic musical journey spanning everything from Mozart to Mamma Mia and much more.

The performance was enjoyed by a packed and appreciative audience, who were also treated to Prosecco and delicious sweet canapés as part of the experience. 🥂🍰

From beautiful classical pieces to popular favourites, the quartet captivated everyone from start to finish, leaving smiles all around and proving that Sundays really don’t get much better than this! 👌

A huge thank you to the Ebor String Quartet for such a memorable afternoon.

The good news? They’ll be back later this year! 🎶
