THE TALE AS OLD AS TIME… IS COMING TO SPOTLIGHT! 🌹

We would like to invite you to join us at the open evening on Tuesday 8th September at 7pm for this years pantomime at spotlight ‘The Beauty and the Beast’

Get ready for a magical adventure packed with laughter, romance, music, mayhem and plenty of audience participation! 🎭

Join Beauty, her eccentric inventor father Morris, lovable French Franc, the larger-than-life Madame Potty, the mysterious Beast, the wicked Evanora and the ever-helpful Fairy Rosa as they journey from the village to an enchanted castle where nothing is quite as it seems!

💫 Can Beauty see beyond the Beast’s frightening appearance?
🌹 Will true love break the curse before the final petal falls?
🧙‍♀️ And can Fairy Rosa stop Evanora from getting her hands on the throne?

With ridiculous inventions, hilarious characters, magical moments and plenty of panto fun, this is one fairy tale you won’t want to miss!

Come along to meet the directors Daisy Wynn and Hannah Gilson, learn more about the scrip and help us bring our vision to life.

Rehearsals will take place every Tuesday and Friday evening 7pm-9pm

✨ THANK YOU, SHOWSTOPPERS! ✨

And just like that… Showstoppers has taken its final bow! 🎭

What an incredible production it has been. A huge thank you to everyone who has been involved in bringing this show to life. From the very first rehearsal to the final curtain call, it has been a true team effort and we couldn’t be prouder of what we have created together.

A very special thank you to our wonderful directors, Victoria and Amelia, for your vision, creativity, hard work and dedication. You have brought out the best in everyone and created a show where so many people had the opportunity to shine. They didn’t just sing their songs, they performed with purpose to tell their story🙌🏻

Thank you to our amazing Musical Director, Geoff, for your incredible musical direction, patience and talent throughout the whole process.

To our cast, technical team, backstage crew, costume department and Front of House team — thank you for everything you have done behind the scenes. So much work goes into making a production like this happen, much of it unseen, and we are incredibly grateful for every single one of you.

And finally, a HUGE thank you to our audiences. ❤️

Thank you for supporting us week after week, filling the theatre, cheering us on, laughing with us, singing along and giving our cast the incredible reception they deserved. Your support means more than you know.

Join us for the Spotlight Theatre Open Evening as we introduce our next exciting production…

✨ ‘A Christmas Cracker’ ✨

A full on, seasonal, spectacular variety show for the whole family that will take the audience on a yuletide journey from the exciting pre Christmas buildup through to the highs and lows of the big day itself!

Our show will feature colourful group numbers, solo songs, sketches, monologues, traditional carols, sing alongs, and a couple of surprises along the way. We have a clear theme and structure for the show, and we will be inviting you to audition for these numbers as well as your own offerings on the themes of the buildup to Christmas (Act 1) and Christmas Day (Act 2). Get your thinking caps on!

Come along to find out more about the production, meet directors Laura Jenkinson and Chris Dart, learn more about the rehearsal process, and discover how you can get involved.

Rehearsals will take place on Monday and Thursday evenings, with performances scheduled from Tuesday 1st December to Sunday 6th December 2026.

Happy 80th Birthday, John! ❤️

Today we celebrated a very special Spotlight birthday as our wonderful John Wilkinson turned 80! 🎉

John has been part of the Spotlight family for over 15 years and during that time he has become such a valued and much-loved member of our team.

A true backbone of our backstage crew, John is one of those people who is always there when you need him, helping behind the scenes, supporting others and making sure everything comes together.

We’re so lucky to have had John as part of Spotlight for all these years. His kindness, dedication and willingness to help never go unnoticed and he really is a special part of our theatre family.

We hope you’ve had the loveliest 80th birthday, John. ❤️
