🏡 WE’RE IN THE TELEGRAPH! 🏡

Well… what a lovely surprise to wake up to this morning! 😭💙

Bondville has been featured in today’s Telegraph as one of the BEST model villages in Britain!

To see our little village here in Sewerby sitting alongside some of the most wonderful model villages from across the country feels incredibly special.

When I took on Bondville, I knew we had something quite magical on our hands. We’ve poured so much love, time and hard work into bringing this beautiful little place back to life, while making sure we never lose the nostalgia and charm that makes it so special.

And now The Telegraph has noticed us too!

They even gave a mention to our hundreds of tiny residents, our harbour, cottages, lighthouse, castle and all those little details we love so much… AND suggested finishing your visit with scones and sandwiches in our Garden Tea Room. ❤️☕️💪

Im beyond proud.

Not bad for our little corner of Yorkshire, eh? 🥹🏡

As you may be aware, we’ve made the decision to fully close Bondville for the autumn/winter months, from October through to March.

And actually… we’re really excited about it! 🥰

This break is going to give us something we rarely get during the busy season — time. Time to make improvements, work on new ideas, tackle some of those jobs we’ve been desperate to get stuck into and make Bondville even better ready for March 2027.

Running a seasonal, outdoor attraction comes with its challenges, and we have to make sensible decisions that protect everything we’ve worked so hard to build. Having a winter closure means we can keep Bondville viable, sustainable and here for many years to come — and we know wholeheartedly that it’s the right decision for us. 💚

But please don’t think we’re disappearing for six months… you won’t get rid of us that easily! 😂

We’ll still be right here on social media. We’ll be going live, taking you behind the scenes, sharing what we’re working on, showing you our plans and probably asking for your opinions along the way! There’s lots we want to do, and we’d love you to be part of the journey.

Then, come March… we will be back with a bang! 💥🏡

For now, we’re still OPEN WEDNESDAY–SUNDAY throughout September, so there’s plenty of time to squeeze in another trip to Bondville before our winter hibernation.
