Some of the team over YMTC Academy Bridgwater took on the tremendous challenge this weekend of walking 46 miles from the Bristol Hippodrome to Playhouse Weston Super Mare then on from there to the The McMillan Theatre for their final destination. This massive challenge was to raise money for YMTCs summer shows and next years production of SHREK! 🐲🫏

💡Lights up for the one and only Gavin Roberts - king of the cameo role and a true character performer bringing multiple roles to life in this show! 👑✨

Gavin first caught the acting bug back in 1997 in a production of Oliver, performing with a local youth group and developing a lifelong love of musical theatre.
Since then, he’s taken to the stage in a wide range of productions, making his adult amateur debut with Bridgwater Operatic Society as Fyedka in Fiddler on the Roof.
His impressive list of credits includes roles such as The Kralahome in The King & I, Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast, Grandpa George in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Jacob in Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat.
Whether he’s playing it straight or bringing a touch of comedy, Gavin always leaves a lasting impression. 😆

A familiar face in the local theatre scene, Gavin is passionate about supporting grassroots musical theatre, particularly through his work with the Young Musical Theatre Company - and he’s thrilled to now be part of an all-adult cast with 21st Century Productions.

😎When he’s not on stage, Gavin balances a busy professional life as a Partner at Maxwells Chartered Accountants, alongside family life and his ongoing involvement in the local community.

🎭 With multiple roles and plenty of personality, Gavin is one to watch in this production!

🎭 Get ready to meet the fabulous Chloe Quinn, one of our brilliant company members lighting up the stage! ✨

Hailing from Bridgwater, Chloe is no stranger to performing and has built up an impressive list of credits. She’s taken to the stage in a variety of productions, including School of Rock, Beauty and the Beast (one of Gaston’s Silly Girls), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat. She also wowed audiences as one of the three pigs in Shrek and has been a regular face in JH Variety Shows, performing across both adult and children’s ensembles.

Alongside her performing, Chloe has been busy working in a local primary school and even completing a degree - talk about dedication on and off the stage! 💪

Chloe is especially excited to be part of an adult production this time around:
✨ “I love working with the kids, but it’s nice to have some adult time!”

With her energy, experience, and passion for performance, Chloe is sure to bring something special to the stage.

✨ Meet the Cast: Connie Perrett 👻🎭 ✨
Get ready to feel the love (and maybe a few chills 👀) as we introduce Connie – one of the talented stars of Ghost the Musical! 💫

Connie joined YMTC in 2017 and has been haunting the stage (in the best way!) ever since 👻. You may have seen her in The Addams Family, School of Rock, Beauty and the Beast, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – where she played her favourite role, the iconic Veruca Salt 🍫👑 (“I want it now!” energy fully approved).
She recently picked up the Somerville Excellence Award for her performance as Dan in Joseph – proof she’s already got a little theatrical magic up her sleeve ✨

Her love for performing started incredibly young – she’s been part of Bridgwater Carnival Concerts since the age of 2 (basically born ready for the stage 🎉). Through Fox King Dance Academy, she’s gone on to perform in Disneyland Paris (2023) and even aboard the MSC Virtuosa Cruise (2025) 🚢🌍… not quite the afterlife, but pretty close to magical destinations!
Connie is currently studying Performing Arts at Bridgwater College, where she’s playing Miss Sherman in Fame! 🎶 – because clearly one show at a time just isn’t enough!

She’s especially excited about Ghost the Musical as her it's first show moving from YMTC to the adult company, and Connie's ready to embrace the experience, learn new skills and make some supernatural connections along the way 👻💙 (don’t worry… no pottery wheel required… probably 😅).

🎭 Meet the Cast: Lil Patch 🎭
“I’m gonna love you until the wheels come off…” - and we’re already loving having Lil as part of our Ghost the Musical family!

Straight from Bridgwater, Lil is a local talent who’s no stranger to the stage. Having previously performed in productions of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Joseph, she’s already had a taste of theatrical magic - from golden tickets to technicolour dreams!

When she’s not performing, Lil is busy supporting the next generation of performers by tutoring at YMTC, alongside being part of 21st Century - proving her passion for theatre shines both on and off stage.
So, what drew her into the world of Ghost? It's all about the thrill of live performance and the creative buzz behind the scenes too. Lil 's especially excited to be both on stage and helping bring the set to life - because as we know in Ghost, it’s not just the people, but the world around them that makes the story truly unforgettable.
Like Sam and Molly’s story, theatre is about connection - and we’re thrilled she is part of ours. 💫
