Quilting and embroidery classes are now running again at Morville Village Hall, Bridgnorth WV16 5NB!
Hand embroidery starts Thursday 16th September 10 - 12.30
Machine embroidery starts Monday 20th September 10 - 3.30
Quilting takes place on Fridays

2020 certainly turned out to be a different year to the one I had anticipated. Classes closed in March and are currently still suspended with no definite plans for restarting. Hopefully as the vaccine programme is rolled out things will begin to improve in 2021 and we will be able to meet together once more. I hope everyone has managed to stay safe and well and wish you all a Happy Christmas.

The spring term has got off to a really exciting start with topics ranging from making silk paper to creating beautiful panels with machine embroidery.
The theme for our next hand embroidery class (15.02.20) is contemporary needle weaving and for our next machine embroidery class (17.02.20) we will be continuing to explore the possibilities of free machine embroidery.
New comers are always welcome so if you’re interested please get in touch!

We have just completed a successful and enjoyable term covering several topics including textured hand embroidery, appliqué, layering and creating our own mixed media paper / fabric.

Machine embroidery workshops (10.00 - 3.30)

Hand embroidery workshops (10.00 - 12.30)

12th & 26th March

Where has the summer gone??? It seems no time at all since we were looking forward to the long lazy days of summer and now September is almost here!
We will be taking the theme of "summer inspiration" for our next hand embroidery classes - dates for the new term are as follows
Sept 5th & 19th
Oct 3rd, 17th & 31st
Nov 14th & 28th

Tomorrow sees the last class of the Spring term, and during the last few weeks we have looked at a wide range of topics from making silk paper to stitching through metal!

Over the last couple of hand embroidery sessions we've been making silk paper using a variety of methods and are now stitching into the pieces we have made. There are lots of exciting ideas for future deveolpments - here are just a few photos of progress so far!
The next dates for hand embroidery classes are 21st March and 4th April - we will be exploring the decorative use of small pieces of metal and wire, so if you you are interested then why not come along and join us? Contact Alison [email protected] for further details.
