The festival takes place at the end of August in the beautiful Candleston Woods, packed with incredible live indie-folk music, fascinating science talks, and gorgeous woodland art.

A local charity are raising funds to purchase woodlands for public amenity and to protect wildlife and trees. Between The Trees are offering 2 Saturday tickets for their raffle. The panel consisted of Chair – Prof David Unsworth (Swansea University and Project Seagrass) , Olivia Sprinkel – Author, photographer, sustainability strategy and communications consultant , Hannah Garcia – Green Squirrel, Local Environmental Social Enterprise ), Leonor Vulpe Albari – Lawyer at Leigh Day (Layers for Justice ), Joe Wilkins – Ecologist and Rights of Nature Campaigner for policy change, Neil Kingsnorth – Director of Patch of the Planet, Former Head of Activism Friends of the Earth, CEO of The Orchard Project and campaigner at CND and Global Justice Now@patchoftheplanet )

During the debate we explored the merits of the different strategies, discuss novel approaches and hear about best Eco-activism “best” practices that have been adopted by the panel and members of the audience.

In May, Between The Trees, had the great opportunity to participate in in Sydney Nova, Scotia.
Attending as Welsh delegates was a great honour, meeting many performers, agents and managers and creating positive links between Canada and Cymru. The Celtic Cousins showcase saw and Darren and Tom from the Mi'kMaq Eskasoni, First Nations people collaborate on a song called" More Than Words Can Say" about appreciating and protecting our indigenous languages.
This culminated in a powerful group chant, which brought the message home: We are one people on one Planet, united by music, lyrics and culture.
In August at we are hosting 2 new Canadian artists: and , for 2027 we are in negotiation to programme even more Canadian artists and more indigenous speakers performing in their home languages. Thank you/ Diolch and all from esp. and and the brilliant team, who made it happen.

Wonderful to see Ballet Cymru at Between The Trees in this WG ad about the importance of Arts, Culture and Sport.
Can you imagine how magical it is seeing ballet performed with young festival goers in the woods at dusk?
We know what makes for a good quality of life and what’s important to our physical and mental wellbeing, great that our Senedd is making these things a priority.
