Some 2023 reflections…
I began the year with the goal to draw people more, as I felt I was particularly rubbish at this and it needed to change. I was delighted when I quickly started doing my first commission, which then lead to another and so on, all including people. In the business part of my life I have been mainly focused on commissions this year, which has challenged me and pushed me out of my comfort zone over and over again…and I loved it. A huge thank you to everyone who got a commission done by me this year. I beam with pride when I think about my artwork in someone else’s house!
In my personal life there’s been some highs and lows, and as always it is never easy with ASD children. I always try my best. We ended the year on a high going to Morocco which was a much, much needed holiday 😇 other than that I’ve stayed fairly local, going to the local festivals.
I want to give a special mention to Bretforton Community Shop and the community of Bretforton. With every prang of guilt I’ve felt for not producing any new designs this year, (which I hope to rectify in 2024) they have always been so kind and supportive, encouraging me to not give up! A huge thank you to everyone who has brought a card from me.
Another goal I had at the start of the year, was to ‘do’ social media more. Well that didn’t work out too well, did it 🙈😂 So the algorithm has taught me an important lesson this year. If I am to ‘do’ social media, I might actually need to be social and post more often! Obvious I know 🙈😂 So let’s hope to change this too in 2024. A huge thank you to everyone who comments, messages me, likes or saves or shares one of my posts!
To everyone who has supported me this year, thank you!
2024, I hope to make more art for myself, using my sketchbook a lot more!
Wishing you guys all the positive stuff! Peace & love vibes ✌🏻🫶🏻
Happy New Year!
