What I’m Currently Working On 👀✨

POV: I’m romantically staring at a wedding venue on my iPad for 3 hours straight.

Currently deep in my venue-drawing era — zooming in 400% to get the windows right, debating roof tiles like it’s life or death, and whispering “that’ll do” every five minutes.

There’s just something about watching a venue go from blank screen to cute illustrated moment that scratches my brain in the best way 🤌🏼

There’s something so special about seeing everything come together — from that first invite landing on your guests’ doormats to the final details styled on your tables.

Trial & Error

Displays. Why are they still the hardest part?! 😅

All these years in and I still stand there thinking…
What’s good?
What goes up?
What will people actually be drawn to?
How do I show that I’m the right person for them — just through what’s on the table?

There are so many tiny decisions behind the scenes that no one really talks about. It’s been a lot of trial and error over the years (heavy on the error at times 😂), but slowly it’s starting to feel more me. More intentional. More confident.

I guess that’s growth, right?

Please tell me I’m not the only one who overthinks their displays… 👀✨

Tell me why a hole punch is the most satisfying sound known to mankind?? The crisp click just does something to my brain 😂

This is where you’ll find me most days — in my cosies, at my desk, working away. Usually surrounded by ribbon, card offcuts and approximately 47 little piles of “important things”. Slight mess… but organised chaos, obviously.

It might not always be glamorous, but this is the magic-making part 🤍 Cutting, punching, threading, tying — turning designs into the pieces that end up on your tables.

Wouldn’t have it any other way, even if I am permanently covered in paper bits ✂️✨

Another year already… let’s see if I can actually stick to this challenge this time 😂🤞🏼

Hi, I’m Katie — the face, designer, illustrator, admin, customer service department and resident social media girly behind Katie Frances Art. It’s basically me, myself and I over here 👋🏼✨

I’ve been running my business since 2018, growing from creating for friends and family to now working with the loveliest couples far and wide (still slightly surreal tbh).

For the past two and a half years I’ve been based at alongside an amazing group of wedding suppliers, all here to make planning your big day feel easy and exciting rather than overwhelming.

I’m also a proud 3x finalist at the Essex Wedding Awards — which honestly means the world 🥹
