A huge THANK YOU to our wonderful local Fire & Rescue and Police teams for joining us today at King George’s Playing Fields to celebrate Emergency Services Day! 🚨❤️

It was fantastic to see so many of our customers coming over to meet the teams, explore the emergency vehicles and, most importantly, say THANK YOU for everything they do to keep our community safe. 👏

We’ve had so many lovely comments from customers thanking us for organising today, and seeing how much everyone enjoyed it means we will DEFINITELY be inviting them back! ❤️

🚨 And a little reminder of just how important their job is… our fire crew had to rush away during their visit to attend a real emergency! They have now returned and are BACK IN OUR CAR PARK RIGHT NOW, so if you’re nearby, come down and say hello! 🚒👋

Our Emergency Services Day celebrations just got even better! 💙

As well as welcoming our local firefighters and their FIRE ENGINE 🚒, we’re delighted to announce that we’ll also have a POLICE CAR 🚓 joining us at King George’s Playing Fields tomorrow!

This Wednesday 9th September, we’re celebrating Emergency Services Day — and we’re delighted to welcome some of our local firefighters AND their fire engine to King George’s Playing Fields! 🚒👨‍🚒👩‍🚒

Bring the little ones along to see the fire engine up close, meet some of our local firefighters and say a HUGE thank you to the people who work so hard to keep our community safe. ❤️

It’s a lovely opportunity for children to meet some real-life heroes — and we’d love to see as many of you as possible come along and show your appreciation. 🚒🥰

No booking needed — just come along and say hello!

⚽️❤️ A GREAT NIGHT FOR A GREAT CAUSE! ❤️⚽️

Tonight saw King George’s Playing Fields take on The Brentwood Centre in a charity football match in support of the Matt Hampson Foundation.

It was KGPF’s night on the pitch with a 4–0 win 🏆⚽️, but the evening was about much more than the final score.

Bringing colleagues from two sites within the same contract together, having some fun, building relationships and raising money for an incredible cause is what nights like this are all about. 🙌

A huge thank you and well done to everyone who took part, supported and helped make the evening happen. ❤️

As part of our commitment to making our centres as inclusive and welcoming as possible, our team have been learning to use Makaton. This is a unique language programme that uses signs, symbols and speech to help people communicate. Many of our amazing members and visitors use Makaton, and we’re proud to support and learn alongside them. 🧏‍♂️🧏‍♀️

Each month, we’ll be sharing a new Makaton sign with you, and we’d love for you to join in! 💙
