Have you always wanted to learn to throw, but don’t know where to start?

Our Specialist Course, Throwing for Beginners is the perfect place for you to start! ✨

Join Africa Lopez for 8 weeks of hands-on learning, where you’ll be guided through the fundamentals of wheel throwing, from centring and pulling clay to shaping, trimming and glazing your finished pieces.

Whether you’re completely new to throwing or have had a little experience, you’ll build confidence, develop your skills and create your own collection of ceramics to take home.

Ready to turn up the heat and discover the magic of RAKU?

Looking back on a wonderful RAKU weekend workshop, it was a joy to see everyone’s individual pieces come to life through the magic of glazing, fire and smoke. Every pot revealed its own unique colours, patterns and surprises, making each final reveal truly special!

A huge well done to everyone who attended - you all created some fantastic pieces! It was wonderful to see your creativity come to life, and we hope you enjoyed the experience as much as we did.

We’re looking for talented local makers and small businesses to join us at The Ceramic Studio Christmas Makers’ Market on Sunday 29th November! ✨

Set in our beautiful countryside studio in Brenchley, it’s a lovely opportunity to showcase your work, meet new customers and be part of a festive day filled with independent makers, live music and Christmas cheer.

We’re particularly looking for non-ceramic stalls, including:
🎨 Original art and illustration
🧵 Textiles, accessories and handmade gifts
🌿 Homeware and decorations
🍯 Artisan food and other unique handmade products
