In 27 days time The North American Festival of Wales 2025 will begin in Ottawa, Canada! 🇨🇦

We’re thrilled that we’re taking the film of Shoulder to Shoulder, which includes the full opera and interviews with Welsh Shedders to the festival. The film was made by the brilliant Auntie Margaret film company. 🎥

Artistic director and the librettist of Shoulder to Shoulder will be there to talk about the making of the opera.

We’re touring to Neuadd Goffa Pontyberem tomorrow Saturday 3 May, Maesteg Town Hall on Friday 9 May and ending our tour at Llangadog Community Hall on Saturday 10 May. Delighted to welcome the soprano Llio Evans to the cast of Shoulder to Shoulder. She’s playing, Gwen, the daughter of Rhys who’s devastated by grief and she encourages him to join his local Shed. Llio has worked extensively with major opera houses and companies, including Welsh National Opera, the Royal Opera House and Scottish Opera. ❤️
