Thank you so much to three wonderful grant-giving organisations that do so much to support the arts in our area and who have generously supported BFB again for our forthcoming productions of Nutcracker and Jack and the Beanstalk!

Thank you Brecon Town Council, The Gibbs Trust and The Audrey Tyler Trust.

We have had a packed May; along with our ongoing preparations for The Nutcracker, we have been busy with our rehearsals for Jack and The Beanstalk. Our dancers are really growing into their characters. There has been a lot of work on costumes and choreography, we are so grateful to everyone who’s been involved so far - this production is really coming to life!

Once again we would like thank Theatr Brycheiniog for their on going support with this ambitious project.

Remember to book your tickets for Mid Wales Dance Academy school’s version of Jack and the Beanstalk, coming up on July 11th and 12th - part of the development process for the BFB professional version in April 2027..... we can’t wait to share more!

We are super excited to be holding a Patrons event this afternoon, did you know that our Patrons get to watch behind the scenes of our production, including the very early days when the choreography is being created. This not only gives them a unique opportunity and perspective to see everything that goes into shaping our performances but they also get to meet other like minded individuals who also truly love the arts.

We are incredibly grateful for their support!

Call out for a tall actor!!

The wonderful Jesse Ashby is creating the role of the Giant in BFB's production of Jack and the Beanstalk! (You may remember that Jesse made his debut as Drosselmeier last Christmas....) But we're looking for an actor, ideally over 6 foot 3, to cover this role.

Please contact [email protected] if you're interested or tag someone you think might suit this role!
