Geometric fu dog ! My client travelled from Barcelona to get this done 🇪🇸 we also wrapped up the back of his forearm on day two to make it a half sleeve.

My client travelled from Australia to the U.K. to get a full sleeve in 5 days, so I had to plan how I could do each area to completion so that no area was touched twice.

we started with the inner foreram and elbow ditch, one of my favourite starting points for a sleeve ! we did a huge sessions first day to get this far.

Day two was to get the shoulder done, another really long day because getting the shoulder stencilled is tricky and there’s loads of moving the client round to get every angle of the shoulder. He also had big shoulders so this piece was large ! after day 2 we had already covered a massive part of the arm, that was the plan whilst he had the most energy and stamina.

Day three, another big day ! We tattooed the mandala that filled the gap between day one and two.

Still on day three, we finished it with the inner bicep ! so that was a big big day for the client and the one he was least looking forward to ! but he smashed through and by the end of day three we had done most of his arm already.

Day 4 & 5 was elbow day and finishing with the wrist ! the elbow space wasn’t huge but it was one of those that took a lot longer than expected. Elbow skin is weird skin to tattoo, especially when packing solid black into it. This along with the fact that we were on day 4 just meant it dragged on a bit but we got there in the end ! The day 5 finisher down around the wrist was one of the trickiest to line up as we needed it to finish on a completely straight line, sit perfectly over the wrist knuckle bone thing and line up with the elbow mandala. A couple stencils later and a few hours of tattooing and we were done !

This is the finished shot of the outside ! loads of layering and depth which was the main focus of the sleeve !

Inside arm shot of the finished sleeve ! what a champion my client was to smash that out in 5 full days. It was a mission for both of us but the outcome was exactly what we both imagined and the memory will last a lifetime !

Consistent hand speed and needle depth for my little black sections.

I use a 7rs, bishop liner at 6.5v. that’s just how it feels right for me for these smaller bits. I find there is less skin trauma as it’s all done in one pass.

my client travelled 30 hours from Sydney Australia to my studio in Devon, UK to get a full sleeve from me in 5 full day sessions back to back last week!!

He wanted a full sleeve that was 100% Layered mandalas ! we wanted to focus on clean readable mandalas with shading for depth and layering. Every mandala is strategically placed to be a focal point on the arm and to wrap perfectly to create the space for the next one.

honestly such an honour to have people travel all around the world to come and get my work on them !

always open to taking on projects like this ! If you’re interested please email: [email protected] ✉️
