π We understand. We get it. π
At PTSD UK, our passion and commitment stem from personal experiences with PTSD and C-PTSD. Almost everyone in our charity has lived through it firsthand, either in themselves or alongside a friend or family member. We truly understand how you feel, and the struggles you face every day.
Founded in 2015 by Jacqui, who battled her own PTSD, PTSD UK arose from the urgent need for better understanding, provisions, and information surrounding Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. We know that those affected, along with their loved ones, deserve the right help and education.
As the only charity in the UK dedicated to raising awareness of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, we firmly believe that knowledge is power. We're determined to provide supportive and reliable information about PTSD and C-PTSD, for everyone affected, no matter the trauma that caused it. Understanding the types of trauma that can lead to PTSD or C-PTSD, recognising the physical, mental, and emotional symptoms that are often experienced, and discovering the available treatments are vital steps towards recovery.
When PTSD or C-PTSD overwhelms you, it can make you feel helpless, alone, and isolated. But we want you to know that you are not alone. We understand your journey, and we're here to stand by your side. Feeling understood and having someone patient with you can be incredibly empowering. Together, we'll face it head-on.
Our mission at PTSD UK is to provide resources and tools that inspire empowerment and resilience in everyone affected by PTSD or C-PTSD. We tirelessly campaign to raise awareness, reach out to high-risk communities, and actively shape UK healthcare policies. We firmly believe that "Tomorrow CAN be a new day," and we're here to support you every step of the way.
If you're looking for hope, understanding, and a path towards recovery, PTSD UK is here for you. You can help us continue making a difference by supporting our cause through donations, setting up fundraisers, or by simply spreading the word.
