They say change is inevitable, it’s how you deal with it is where the struggle lies.

But the spaces in between, where nothing happens, no drama lama, no battles to fight, no mountain to climb. Those spaces are the ones to cherish. To refresh. To breathe in.

Life’s a journey isn’t it …. I paint a lot about life’s twists and turns, about being in the flow and focusing on positivity……and in particular the chapters of life.

Personally there’s a big shift right now in my house with family members scattered around the country, and I’ve gotta admit sometimes that feels hard - I’m adapting to not having my favourite humans around all the time, and they too are adjusting to independence - all change.

On the plus side - I’m starting to love the kitchen being kept clean, food in the fridge for more than an afternoon and the washing machine only going on once a week!! so every cloud has a silver lining 🤣🤣

And an added bonus of having older kids is they introduce you to delicious birthday cocktails 💃🍸

Do you already follow my page, or maybe your new here? Either way, so you know. When I have new work I release it first to my priority list.

I call these people my ‘Collectors Club’ and they have a special page on my website (and in my heart) where they can browse my latest paintings at their own pace without pressure, before general release to my partner galleries or broader audience.

So if you like what you see don’t miss the latest work soon to be released (next week) there’s a mix or large, medium and a couple of works on paper - so a variety of price points and sizes to suit all.

…. And be assured I’m not gonna spam you with emails, (I hate that myself) it’s just a way of staying up to date with new work, tickets to exhibitions and the occasional discount / offer.

You realise your blank wall needs some love… but you’ve never quite gotten around to finding the right piece… and besides you don’t want to make a mistake, and so you’ve left it blank.

It looks sad, spiritless and empty. Uninspiring even, but you’ve reached that state of frozen, where you’d really just wish someone could come in and fix it for you, make a darn decision, put something up that speaks to you, warms your space and completes your room once and for all…

There’s no denying we all love a little fast fashion and Vinted - and we like to think that’s somehow better - it’s sustainable right!!! Gotta be a good thing.

But if we’re honest it’s still the same cycle - buy, wear and banish.

Now I love a bit of girl maths….. it’s the way I justified spending way too much on our ‘sofa for life’ as I explained the hole in our bank balance to my hubby.

But the message here is Art (although an initial outlay) cost per view, beats cost per wear - hands down!

It offers slow living, daily hits of joy: the way it catches the sunlight while you sip your morning coffee, when you look up from your phone and catch its sense of calm …. It delivers a slow satisfaction and warmth and the best part - it never stops giving.

Now THATS what I call great girl maths - don’t you think??

It was really such a treat to visit ‘The Other Art Fair’ in London last week - and to experience it as a visitor !

Gotta admit it was a total indulgence to take the time to wander, chat with other artist, take it all in and feel really inspired by so many incredible artists.

I chucked at how drawn I was to some of the really colourful wilder works - there’s no escaping my love for colour - so rather than bring home something that feels familiar to me I settled for this gorgeous mini series by who creates these beautiful pieces through natural oxidation - controlling rust and surface reaction - I couldn’t resist bringing them home and had just the place in mind for them.

Always feels good too, supporting fellow artists !!
