Our first rehearsal at the Flodden Field site, getting a feel for this amazing outdoor performance space!! It was a beautiful evening and the golden light was magical!
Cast were off script 👌performances were powerful and poignant.
We can't wait for you all to see our performance MUD, BLOOD and ALE 😍
19th June 7pm - outdoor performance at The Strawyard, Berwick (chairs provided, bar open before show)

The Ragbag Theatre Company are back in action this year and rehearsals are well under way for our summer outdoor production of MUD, BLOOD and ALE on 19th - 21st June 2026!
This new, original play is a tale of family loss and survival against the odds, before and after the battle of Flooden in 1513 and is directed by Cheryl Stewart and Rebecca Harris.
Musical accompaniment by several members of TRIBE acapella with a great local cast!
3 open air performances including 2 evenings at Flodden field!!

TO GET TO THE OTHER SIDE
Two couples. One bridge. A social divide.

A tale of the Royal Border Bridge....
1850 and the final link connecting two great capitals – Edinburgh and London – is almost complete. But what of the human stories held in the mortar of a railway colossus like the Royal Border Bridge? What of the sweat, triumphs and heartbreaks? Set against the turmoil of corporate greed and social injustice, TO GET TO THE OTHER SIDE traces the stories of two couples whose lives connect – and change forever.

This play requires 6 main characters, 3 women and 3 men and a female chorus of at least 6 who will be on stage acting and singing throughout.

We are organising an open read-through on Tuesday 16th August 2022 7pm - venue to be confirmed.
