I hope everyone has had a fantastic first few days back at school. I'm sure you've made lots of new friends, had loads of fun and enjoyed telling everyone about your summer adventures! ☀️

Now it's time for another exciting year at Rascals... and I honestly can't wait to welcome everyone back into the classroom tomorrow! 💛

Our brand-new Rascals term begins next week, and this is your final chance to book a FREE trial for the first week of term!

If you're looking for an after-school activity where your child can build confidence, make new friends, get creative and have an amazing time, we'd love to welcome you to Rascals. 💛

Our weekly classes are split into three age groups:

⭐ 3–4yrs | 4:00pm–4:30pm
⭐ 5–7yrs | 4:30pm–5:30pm

💛 What Can You Expect From Your First Rascals Class? 💛

Of course... you can expect LOTS of fun! 🎉

But we also know that starting something new can feel a little daunting for some children. That's why we use our tried-and-tested Buddy System in our 5–7 and 8–12yrs classes.

When your child arrives, they'll be warmly welcomed by their Rascals teacher before being introduced to their Rascals Buddy—a friendly class member who'll help them settle in, feel included and make new friends.

We carefully choose buddies based on age, personality and sometimes even familiar faces from school or outside of Rascals.

I still remember my own buddy from my very first Rascals class over 20 years ago. Just having one friendly face to help me settle in made all the difference, and it's something I've never forgotten. 💛

As the weeks go on, we regularly mix up groups so everyone has the chance to work together and build friendships across the class. However, we always keep our newest members with their buddy for the first couple of weeks to give them that extra bit of support while they settle in.

For our 3–4 year olds, we take a slightly different approach. We introduce each new child to the class during circle time and encourage inclusion through our activities. At this age, we often find the children naturally look out for one another—and friendships blossom incredibly quickly! 🥰

We can't wait to welcome all of our new little Rascals and watch those wonderful friendships begin! ✨

🎤 What We Do at Rascals... Sing! 🎶

For lots of children (and adults too!), the thought of singing in front of other people can feel a little daunting.

That's why, at Rascals, we create a fun, supportive environment where everyone sings together. There's no pressure to be perfect—just lots of encouragement, smiles and confidence building! 💛

As well as being great fun, singing has so many amazing benefits. It helps children to:

🎵 Develop language and communication skills
🧠 Strengthen memory and concentration
🌬️ Improve breathing and posture
🤝 Build confidence by performing as part of a team

Every time children learn a new song, they're also developing their auditory memory—their ability to remember and recall what they hear. It's a skill that supports learning both in school and in everyday life.

At Rascals, we see singing as so much more than learning lyrics. It's about helping children find their voice, express themselves with confidence and have an amazing time doing it! ✨

At Rascals, we believe drama is about so much more than putting on a performance.
Through acting, children develop skills they'll use for the rest of their lives—from communication and teamwork to empathy, creativity and problem-solving.

Every week, our students explore a variety of exciting topics through drama games, improvisation, storytelling and role play. Along the way, they learn to express themselves, work together, think creatively and grow in confidence.

These are skills that don't just help on the stage—they help in the classroom, on the playground and in everyday life too.

And the best part?

At Rascals, learning never feels like learning... because we believe it's always best when you're having fun! 💛🙌

💃 What We Do at Rascals... Dance! 🕺

At Rascals, we believe dance is about so much more than learning routines and moving to music.

Every class helps children develop balance, coordination, flexibility, stamina and strength—all while having an amazing time! It's a fantastic way to encourage children to enjoy being active and to build healthy habits that can last a lifetime.
But the benefits don't stop there...

Dance also boosts creativity, self-expression and confidence. And here's a fun fact... when we dance, our bodies release endorphins (our "happy hormones" 😊), helping to reduce stress, lift our mood and leave us feeling happier.

That's why every Rascals class is full of energy, encouragement and lots of smiles.
Our goal is simple—to give every child a space where they can move, express themselves, have fun and leave with a big smile on their face. 💛

☀️ Summer Holidays Wrapped! ☀️

Before we dive back into another exciting year at Rascals, I thought I'd share a few of my favourite highlights from the holidays...

🎭 Two incredible Paddington Holiday Clubs filled with laughter, creativity and confidence building.

🏰 Kicking off our Disney 2027 journey with our amazing troupe as they started learning their audition routines.

⚽ Football being back! Following my beloved Watford FC around the country and enjoying another season in the stands.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Lots of quality time with family, including visits from our Cornwall crew and some lovely days out together.

🌊 And finally... a relaxing week in Cornwall, recharging the batteries before another busy and exciting term begins!

Now I'm feeling refreshed, excited and more than ready to welcome everyone back for another amazing year of Rascals! 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who has followed along with our summer adventures.

⭐ HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK! ⭐

Cornwall... 🌊☀️

Need I say more? 💛

This year has been absolutely non-stop with classes, parties, performances, holiday clubs... and, of course, a fair bit of football! 😉⚽

So this week, I'm taking the opportunity to recharge the batteries with some family time in beautiful Cornwall before the Autumn Term kicks off.

Sometimes it's important to slow down, make memories and enjoy a little downtime before another busy term begins—and that's exactly what I'm planning to do!

I'm looking forward to coming back refreshed and ready for another fantastic year of Rascals. 🎭✨
