The Colonel has engaged the formidable Cynthia Maple to run a murder mystery evening. She has engaged the services of Cardew Longfellow (the thesbian) because he looks like the Colonel. Inspector Pratt arrives on the scene. He is the ultimate incompetent (he would refer to himself as incontinent) detective who consistently muddles his words to highly amusing effect. There is a back reference to Murdered to Death, when the colonels wife was confined to an asylum. She has escaped and as bodies pile up Pratt draws all the wrong conclusions around several double roles of characters.

t is time to update WAP members on the plans for the next production with regard to ticket sales and information on the show itself.

Rehearsals are going well with the first 'book down' event taken place this week. The cast is bonding together well and is looking forward to putting on the show.

This year there will be some changes to ticket sales due to the closure of the Post Office in Wethersfield. The Box Office will be situated at either the houses of John Pearce,

Charlotte Holliday or Geraldine Stuckley, this will be made clear by having a large 'Box Office' sign outside the relevant house on the day.

Tickets will also be available from the new Post Office facility in the Village Hall, the sign will be placed outside on the appropriate day.

Ticket prices will be £8 for adults (£7 concessions for over £65 or under 16). On the Saturday night we will have a Fish and Chip supper with tables. The ticket price will be £15 for the Saturday night including the fish and chip supper.

Tickets are due to be on sale in the next couple of weeks. John Pearce will be available for more information on tickets on 01371 851019 on [email protected]

It is important that all members help to push the production and encourage friends family etc. to buy tickets, as without the main Post Office, exposure of the Play will be less than in previous years.

The Play itself as mentioned earlier is going well and is a comedy murder mystery, on the Friday and Saturday night 'The last Drops' will be playing their popular tunes to entertain the audience.

More information will follow soon.
