At just 23, Scottish songwriter Rosie H Sullivan has already carved out a reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting emerging artists. Growing up on the Isle of Lewis, her music has always been rooted in honesty, nature, and a rare ability to turn raw feeling into timeless melody 🎶

When visiting Braemar Folk Festival, getting out and exploring the local area is a 'must' - one of the best ways to do that is with our Bothy Concert 🎶⛰

Our Bothy Concert is hosted at Felagie Bothy on the nearby Invercauld Estate. Starting with a walk to the bothy, you can then gather around the fire and listen to incredible, acoustic music. This year, FRAS will be providing the tunes 🎼

‘Staran’, meaning path, trail or stepping stones in Gaelic, reflects the themes of ‘places’ and ‘moments’ that run through their music. The result of this collaboration is a rich and cohesive sound; atmospheric and textural with acoustic instruments at the heart of it.

We are thoroughly looking forward to having Staran at this year's festival. You can see them perform at St Margaret's on Friday 2nd October, supported by the Ellie Beaton Trio 🎶

Say hello to our headliners for 2026 - Astro Bloc 🎶

Astro Bloc are a bold and dynamic new folk band, blending deep-rooted tradition with boundary-pushing creativity. They have been seen on stages at festivals across the world, including Celtic Connections, HebCelt, the National Celtic Festival in Australia, and the Festival Interceltique de Lorient 🎻
