“Did you hear the story of the Johnstone twins, alike as two new pins?” Well, we have—and we’ll be retelling the tale as we present the play version of "Blood Brothers" from 2nd–4th October 2025 at St James’ Community Hall. Drama Unlimited and Castaways are joining forces to bring you this fantastic production, directed by Carl Murray.

Written by W***y Russell, "Blood Brothers" tells the story of twin brothers who grow up on opposite sides of the social track not realising their fraternity. Described as a Liverpudlian West Side Story, it is an emotional rollercoaster of a show and remains a true classic in every sense.
We hope you can join us and witness this beautiful and poignant play first-hand.

Have you got your tickets yet?

In 1966, in the Welsh mining village of Aberfan, the “tips” – essentially man-made hills of discarded coal and the insides of the mines – were piled on top of a stream which after months collapsed, sliding down onto the village below and killing 144 people in just a few minutes. Of these, 116 were children, whose school lay in the path of the slide.

Set eight months after the disaster, “The Revlon Girl,” tells the real life story of a group of bereaved mothers who met every week above a local pub to talk, cry and even laugh without feeling guilty. At one of their previous meetings, the women looked at each other and admitted how much they felt they’d let themselves go. Afraid that people will think them frivolous, they've secretly arranged for a representative from Revlon to come and give them a talk on beauty tips.

Join us 3rd – 6th November at STUDUO@ the Bradford Playhouse for some stellar performances of 5 fantastic actresses as they take you on a rollercoaster of emotions. Starring Alison Rooks Ali Sykes Tracy Mawson Jenny Owen Tickets via www.bradfordplayhouse.org.uk.
