It has been streamed more than 150 million times and continues to connect generations. It is timeless and also gained Tony the highest accolade in being awarded The Ivor Novello award as Songwriter of the year.

Did you know that Tony taught himself to play keyboards in his teen years?. The stunning intro to the Guvnor mix of It’s Alright is recognisable instantly.

It’s Alright solidified Tony’s standing as a talented songwriter and delivered East 17 another huge hit. Number 1 in Australia, Switzerland, Israel, France and Ireland as well as top 5 in many many countries.

Tony wrote House of Love when he was 21 years old with Robin Goodfellow.

It hit Top 10 in many countries and launched East 17 into the world. Tony wrote of a world united by love and Rolling Stone magazine ranked it at number 75 in the Greatest Boy Band songs of all time.

We asked Tony about the baby in the video and he is pretty sure this is the make up artist’s baby, who must be around 35 years old now 🥰
