It is with deep sadness and loss that I announce the death of our dear friend and comrade, Denis J Heaton.
Denis was a stalwart warrior of the grassroots movement, a co-founder of Yorkshire Gig Guide and a close friend to Eve and myself. We had great adventures together and lots of wonderful memories. We will miss him terribly.
Our heart goes out to Alison and family, and we know that Denis’s family are rallying around and supporting Alison with the warmth of love and care.
Alison said that anyone who knew Denis from the grassroots music scene would be welcome at the funeral, which is to be held at Rawdon Crematorium on 24th June at 14.30. There will be a gathering afterwards, to remember Denis, at Horsforth Golf Club, and all who knew Denis, and wish to say goodbye and remember him are welcome.
