In 1972, a commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men (and women) promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Bradford Underground....... today we caught the last of our courtyard kittens, and they have been suitably *locked back up.
*They have been rehomed with very loving families who are thrilled and have promised to send us updates, and we already have some very cute photos back! Thank you to everyone who respected their welfare and left them be while we built the trust needed to catch them. However now our team are very sad to no longer be foster kitty parents - so please share your pet pictures here.
In addition, we want to say a massive thank you to Angela who has helped us catch the little munchkins this week - she does this tirelessly with no financial support, buying all the traps, boxes, training pads and food out of her own money to try support rehoming kittens, or catching feral cats to receive medical treatment / neutering before rerelease (not all feral cats can be domesticated). If anyone wants to donate pet food, cat boxes or other supplies, or support her work in any way, including potentially becoming a foster themselves, please reach out and we can help pass on any offers of support to her directly.
Now we will crack a jagerbomb to the closure of one of the more unusual chapters of the Underground's story - what a wild ride.
Oh, and there's an acoustic open mic tonight in Platform Bar - come watch music, or play music. It's fun. Absolutely nobody crack out Smelly Cat.
