Calling all punks, misfits, and music lovers — The Underground is the place to be for a night of raw power and rebellious energy from Bradford’s women + them in music.

LINEUP:

Q***R OF HEARTS
Hardcore, riot grrrl, and fiercely political – this punk band is a high-octane blast of righteous rage. Loud, proud, and unmissable.

MELLON-COLLIES
Fronted by powerhouse vocalist Keira, Mellon-Collies deliver razor-sharp lyrics, snarling guitars, and unfiltered attitude. Think X-Ray Spex meets Siouxsie Sioux, with a gritty Yorkshire bite and a sense of humour that hits just as hard as the riffs. Bonus: catch a special guitar appearance from Danny Sapko, Bradford’s BEHS YouTube legend.

PRETTY VENGEANCE
Blending killer covers and angsty anthems, this band brings Blondie glamour with Olivia Rodrigo bite. Big sounds, big hearts — follow .

PLUS: DAN’S GIRLFRIEND’S BAND
A late addition, but total scene-stealers. Expect raw riffs, fast tempos, and a firecracker live set.

2024: An Amazing Year of Resilience and Rising Stars in our Bradford Music Community 🤩

What a year it's been! 2024 has witnessed the Bradford music scene rise above challenges and flourish with incredible talent. We're incredibly proud of every single artist, musician, and supporter who has contributed to this vibrant community ❤️

This year, we've witnessed the emergence of exciting new voices, pushing the boundaries of creativity and captivating audiences with their unique sounds. We've seen new gig nights and promotors work hard to help make our scene vibrant and exciting despite the challenges of our city.

But 2024 has been more than just new talent. It's been a year of resilience, with artists and grassroots venues adapting and overcoming obstacles to bring music to the forefront. We've seen incredible community spirit, with collaborations, support networks, and a shared passion for music driving the scene forward.

It's time for our next exciting announcement on the line-up for 'Let Them Eat Cake' 🧁,  taking place on Friday 22nd November at The Underground,  Bradford.
Recently featured on BBC Introducing and fresh from the stage of St George's Hall where she performed for the launch of the Bradford 2025 Programme we have the fabulous ‘Afrobaby’ 😊

Afrobaby is a British/Nigerian artist based in Bradford, and draws on Electronic, Liquid DnB, Indie, and dark pop for her diverse sound. Inspired by her personal journey, she explores themes of grief and mental health, crafting music primarily in her bedroom on dark nights surrounded by ambient lighting and incense. Known for her introspective and soulful approach, Afrobaby intertwines personal narratives into her lyrics, encouraging healing, elevated vibrations, and vulnerable conversations among her audience.

We are really looking forward to this, get yourselves booked in now and bring a crew, it's going to be a great night 🥳
