Amazing review for our ITKids production of Alice in wonderland. The kids have shined on the stage yet again and are already focusing on their next big theatre adventure 🎭

Adult Only Roles;
Rapunzel — A princess stolen at birth by Witch Gothel and hidden in a tower. Known for her iconic long blonde hair, she’s turning 18 and dreams of life beyond the walls she’s always known. Sweet, curious, easily misled, and raised on Gothel’s lies about the dangers of the outside world.
Finn — A charming rogue with a talent for trouble. Self interested, quick witted, and always chasing the next big payout. He is tempted to the tower for the reward… but ends up guiding Rapunzel to freedom. The question is: can he be trusted?
Witch Gothel — Warm and motherly when things go her way, but manipulative and dangerous when they don’t. She kidnapped Rapunzel as a baby and raised her in isolation, convincing her the world is terrifying so she’ll never leave.
Dame Nina Nifty — The village hairdresser and chaotic mother figure. Loud, lovable, hopelessly dramatic, and always hunting for her next romance. Her children, Jack and Jill, look nothing like her, but they follow her everywhere.
King — Ruler of the kingdom and Rapunzel’s father. Determined, emotional, and desperate to find his daughter. He releases fireworks every year in her honour and offers a huge reward to anyone who can bring her home.
Queen — Strong, hopeful, and the steady heart of the kingdom. She supports the King but isn’t afraid to question his more dramatic ideas. Her belief that Rapunzel is still alive keeps the kingdom going.

Adult or Child role;
Storyteller — A narrator who guides the audience through the tale. Appears at the start of Act 1, the start of Act 2, and at the finale.
Jack — Nina’s son. A lovable village clown with boundless enthusiasm and very few brain cells. Dreams of being a hero and tends to act first, think later.
Jill — Nina’s daughter. The “sensible” one who believes she always has the right answer. Her ideas may not be as clever as she thinks, but she’s determined and helpful.
Dum — Village idiot number one. Surprisingly the “smart” one of the duo. Wants to find the princess mainly for the reward money and what they can spend it on.
Dee — The less intelligent half of the pair. Full of confidence in ideas that absolutely won’t work. Motivated by dreams of buying silly things… like a sausage roll.

Kids Roles;
Rat Ryan — One of Gothel’s frightened little minions. Follows orders out of fear rather than loyalty.
Rat Rosie — Ryan’s partner in panic. Also terrified of Gothel and just trying to survive.

Not required to Audition will be selected in classes;
Ensemble Roles — Ten roles for ITKids students, appearing throughout the show with small lines, reactions, and group moments.

Another show has come to an end! 🎭✨

From all the staff at ITKids, we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended and continues to support us.

This year, we held an open day and welcomed 10 new aspiring actors and actresses to the 10 ITKids family we had. Watching them grow from nervous, shy performers into confident stars has been incredible. All our ITKids worked hard learning lines, songs, dances, and, most importantly, building confidence and believing in themselves.

This is what theatre is all about, and we couldn’t be prouder of every single one of them. We are already excited about what the future holds and can’t wait to share our next production with you all.

Niamh has been part of ITKids for many years and has taken on the lead principal role this year. She continues to impress with her dedication, talent, and passion, bringing together her skills in singing, acting, and dancing to create a truly memorable character.

As Alice, she tumbles down a rabbit hole into the magical world of Wonderland, where she encounters a host of curious and colourful characters. Will Alice find her way back to the real world, or will she face the wrath of the Queen? Join us on this enchanting adventure to find out!

OUR QUEEN OF HEARTS & KING OF HEARTS ❤️👑

Introducing Lily-May and Harry!

Lily-May takes on the role of the Queen of Hearts and truly makes the character her own. She delivers every line with confidence, making it seem effortless as she brings the fiery Queen to life.

With a temper as fierce as ever, the Queen doesn’t appear to have much patience for anyone in Wonderland. The question is… just how many heads will roll? 👑💥

Harry steps into the role of the King of Hearts in his very first year with ITKids, and he has certainly risen to the challenge. We’re excited to see what the future holds for this talented young actor.

Not only does Harry play the King, but he also takes on the role of the Pigeon in Act One! Will he be able to calm the Queen’s temper, or will his own head be on the chopping block? 🐦👑

Introducing Connie and Florence!

Connie has been a valued member of ITKids for many years and continues to take on a leading role. Her ability to bring the character of the White Rabbit to life in human form is truly impressive. With a hop, skip, and a jump, she guides us through the magical journey of Wonderland.

This year, Florence takes on the role of the Knave. Following her success in our annual pantomime, she is making her debut in a full ITKids production. Performing as both the Knave and a member of the chorus, she gives every performance her all. As the keeper of the Queen’s precious jam tarts, she has an important duty to uphold. But can she resist the temptation of such a delicious treat?

This time next Friday, we’ll be preparing for our very first show!

OUR MARCH HARE, MAD HATTER AND DORMOUSE

Amelia, Robin, and Honey, three returning cast members have once again shown incredible talent both on and off the stage. Working brilliantly together and bringing amazing energy to the tea party scene, this trio truly are the perfect hosts! 🥳

From baking the cakes to pouring the tea and entertaining the guests, they’ve prepared everything for a wonderfully mad celebration. Your invitations should have arrived by now, so get yourselves ready for the tea party… because, we’re all mad here!
