As of the close of August 2026, there will no longer be any PAYE-employed staff working at Bradford Producing Hub. The organisation will be led by its Board of Trustees, who are beginning a focused period of strategic review to identify where support for Bradford's creative talent is most needed and to set out ambitious, realistic options for the future.

The Board of Trustees are recruiting a freelance Strategic Development Lead to lead that work: a seven-month role at the heart of shaping what BPH and talent development across the district become next. Applications are open until Wednesday 16 September.

Some of our work now continues in good hands elsewhere, with the Bradford Music Strategy and Amplify being taken forward by Bradford Culture Company.

The outgoing staff team would like to take this moment to thank everyone for their loyalty, commitment, and passion for BPH and the work we have done for arts and culture in Bradford over the past 7 years. For many of us, it’s been a career-defining time showing us how we can work with authenticity, with integrity, and with and for the very people we support; and we will be taking this ethic forward into all our future endeavours. We would also like to thank all our partners, funders, collaborators and freelance colleagues whose own commitment, energy and vision truly helped BPH become the amazing organisation it has been known to be.

We hope the artistic and creative community of Bradford can continue to support BPH through this next phase and help ensure there remains an organisation that independently strives to listen to, work with, advocate for, and work alongside the people that make Bradford the vibrant, wild, and unique district it is known to be; a city of makers, grafters, doers, and of course, dreamers.

We're hiring a freelance Strategic Development Lead to help shape the next chapter for Bradford Producing Hub and creative talent development across the district.

It's a seven-month role working closely with our Board of Trustees on strategic review, sector mapping, and setting out ambitious options for the next phase of our charity.

The future is uncertain for Bradford Producing Hub. But what remains essential is that the experiences of artists, creative freelancers, and organisations in Bradford continue to be heard, understood, and their challenges met.

Each year, we partner with Bradford Culture Company to host our annual cultural and creative sector workforce survey - and after the bright lights of our City of Culture Year - we'd argue that this survey has never been more important. Last year wasn't a baseline for our sector; this year is.

The survey takes around 20 minutes to complete, all responses are confidential, and you can skip any questions you’d prefer not to answer.

We've got some important and disappointing news to share with you.

After seven years alongside Bradford's creative community, BPH is entering a period of pause, and sadly, all of us in the staff team will be leaving at the end of August.

It's not the chapter we'd hoped to write, but we're determined to do this properly by honouring our commitments, finding good homes for our projects, and making sure the work we've built together doesn't disappear. We don't think this is the end of what BPH stands for, and we'd love your help shaping what comes next, starting with a hybrid public consultation event on 29 June - hope you can join us.
