Audition Notice for the Bradfordians Dramatic Society summer production:
Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night!

One of the perennial complaints about Shakespeare is that there aren’t enough parts
for women. How often have we heard that?
The Bradfordians’ summer production this year sets out to redress the
balance.

In Shakespeare’s day, all the female roles were played by men, meaning there were no women on stage at all. With this in mind, director Simon Blacksell has decided to take that idea one step further. In this Bradfordians production of Twelfth Night, all the female roles will be played by men – and all the male roles will be played by women.

So come on, ladies and gentlemen… let’s be having you!

Performance Information:

Director - Simon Blacksell

Performances - W/C 6th July

Venue - The Tithe Barn, Bradford-on-Avon

Rehearsals - Usually held on a Monday and Thursday evening weekly, at the Stumble Inn, Bradford-on-Avon

10/12/2025

For everyone coming to see "A Christmas Carol" on Thursday or Friday evening, here's some things to be aware of

1. We've sold out for both evenings so there will be no tickets sold on the door
2. There is very little lighting around the West Barn so please bring a torch to help you get in safely
3. After Tuesday night's dress rehearsal I can confirm that the heating works - but it might not be toasty warm, so if you feel the cold you might want to bring another layer
4. After Tuesday night's dress rehearsal I can confirm that the seats are padded - but the first "half" is much longer than the second and you might appreciate bringing a cushion!
5. Timings are -start at 8, interval approximately 9.15 - 9.30, finish at around 10pm

Come and be festive with us. We look forward to seeing you there!
