World Singing Day is coming back to Brackley on Saturday 17 October with a light-hearted community sing-along on the Piazza in aid of the Mayor's Charities.

Head to the Piazza at 1pm for an afternoon of music and singing, including this year’s World Singing Day song 'Room For Everyone' and a selection of other great tracks.

It's free to attend, so simply turn up and enjoy. Whether you sing in the shower, belt it out in the car or just fancy joining in, everyone is welcome. The more the merrier!

Given the time of year, the organisers have planned to move from the Piazza to the Town Hall in the event of bad weather, so no need to worry if you see rain on the horizon!

Mark your calendars, warm up those vocal cords and get ready to spread some cheer for World Singing Day 2026.

We can’t believe it’s that time already, only four weeks to go!

We’re delighted to announce that Brackley’s annual Fireworks Display will take place on Saturday 31 October, marking a decade of displays generously supported by Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team.

Best of all, the event is completely free to attend, with no tickets or booking required. As ever, you can expect hot food vendors, bars, community stalls and live entertainment to enjoy before we light up the sky at 7pm.

The field gets pretty packed, so we recommend arriving nice and early to soak up the atmosphere, grab some tasty treats and find a good spot to watch the display.

This year’s fireworks fall on the same night as Halloween, so why not come down in your costumes, enjoy the show, then hit the streets to carry on trick-or-treating.

For those wondering why we’re holding the display on 31 October this year, we’ve chosen to bring the event forward slightly to avoid overlapping with Remembrance weekend, while keeping it as close to Bonfire Night as possible.

With only a few weeks to go, make sure to mark your calendars, prep those costumes and get ready for a great night. We can’t wait to kick off another festive season with one of the best events of the year!

What a fantastic evening last night at the Edgehill Gliding Club Summer Party at Shenington Airfield!

For many years now, Spectra Discotheques has had the pleasure of entertaining at this wonderful annual event, and it's one I always look forward to.
There's something very special about setting up our disco in an aircraft hangar surrounded by some amazing vintage aircraft. It creates an atmosphere that you just don't find anywhere else.

The barbecue was enjoyed by all, and it was great to see so many people of all ages coming together for a night of fun, laughter and dancing.

As always, the fancy dress outfits were outstanding, and the dance floor was busy as we travelled through the decades with party classics from the 1960s right through to today's chart hits.

Events like this remind me why I still love DJing after all these years. Seeing families and friends making memories together, singing along to favourite songs, and simply enjoying themselves is what it's all about.
A huge thank you to Lucy and all the organisers for inviting us back once again and for all the hard work that goes into making the evening such a success.

And congratulations to the winner of the fancy dress competition, who came as Madonna! 😅

Thank you everyone for another memorable night. We look forward to doing it all again next year!
