The Transgender Puppet Variety Show Magazine is officially sold out! There are now 80 of these colourful and q***r magazines out and about in the world, hopefully brightening people's bookshelves and magazine racks.

Thank you to all the wonderful people who have picked up a copy, to everyone who was part of the film (as credited in the back of the magazine!), the fabulous , and all the fabulous retailers who have stocked us, including and .

Maybe a second issue is in the sights for the future? 👀

If you've seen exhibited you may have noticed this subtle detail on the VHS Player that isn't exactly genuine to the equipment...

These custom stickers on the player, designed like stickers you'd usually find on technology of this age, reference q***r history, two transgender historical figures, and a certain myth about hubris that I personally have quite a q***r interpretation of.

Would you have picked up on these little Easter Eggsin the exhibition?

For I needed to make an installation guide just in case I unexpectedly couldn't be around to set up the installation myself, and of course I didn't just make a boring list, I made an entire instruction booklet in the style of a famous Swedish Furniture Company!

Complete with Safety Warnings in multiple languages, the booklet is a thorough guide on how to set up the physical installation and VHS Tapes for the piece.

This was my final sketch of Eleutheria before I made her into a real puppet ✨

In the first sketches she looked more like Animal from the Muppets, a messy head of feathers with big facial features peeking through. But over time the designed moved away from that concept and to a more humanoid puppet with hair just on the top of her head, and a collar that pays homage to another puppet compere.

Over on the left you can see a red hand, perhaps that'll be the next sketch I share from before the puppets were made.
