M/Others Who Make is an international movement for women and non binary people who care about creating, and create whilst caring.

Every kind of maker is welcomed, and every kind of mother. This page is for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole activity.

Join us for M/Others Who Make - as a facilitator! ✨

We are looking for m/other makers to host new workshops this Autumn, and going forwards into 2027. If you'd like to host a one-off, low time commitment make, then give us a message :)

Since 2024, we've played with:
- Weaving
- Drawing
- Ink Painting
- Embroidery
- Clay
- Rag Wreaths
- Macrame
- Collage
- Zine Making

And now we're looking for more for our M/Others to explore!

We have a modest budget for your time, and for materials, as well as access to our resources and support from us as co-facilitators on the day. We welcome you bringing your children along if you need to or would like to - Emilie and I will always assist with helping hands! Our sessions are monthly on Friday mornings from 10.30am-12pm, at TOSH in Boscombe.

A sneaky reveal for you for this upcoming session next week - by popular request, we're going to be trying embroidery! 🪡 (..We've finally found some needles that aren't TOO pointy where there are little hands around, but do still work!)

Led by textiles artist and upholsterer Claire Everett, we'll explore different stitch techniques and then you'll have a chance to start on a design of your own - which is why we wanted to give you a head's up, so that you have the choice to bring along something of your own to sew on if you'd like to (you're welcome to use our fabric otherwise).
