🎶 SPS REUNITED! ❤️

Last night, some of the SPS family got together to celebrate our fabulous Michelle’s birthday — and what a brilliant night it was! 🥳

After the summer break, it felt SO good to catch up, laugh far too much and have so many of us back together again. Not everyone could be there, but it gave us a very exciting little taste of what’s to come…

Because SPS LAUNCH NIGHT IS JUST ONE WEEK ON WEDNESDAY! 🎤✨

We’re back on *Wednesday 9 September*, ready for a fantastic new term of singing, performing, friendship and plenty of SPS madness. I honestly cannot wait to have everyone back in the room — and to welcome some wonderful new faces too!

Our final rehearsal of Summer 2026 was such a fun one — and this little clip from *Summer Nights* captures the energy perfectly 🎶

So much laughter, so much personality, and a room full of people who simply love singing together.

That’s what Sing People Sing is all about.
A fantastic community, great music, and rehearsals that leave you smiling.

WE NEED MORE OF THIS ENERGY 😂🎤

Sing People Sing is growing this September — and we’d especially love to hear from tenors, baritones and basses.

SPS is our auditioned performance choir for people who want a little more than just a weekly singalong: big harmonies, brilliant music, exciting performances and a genuinely fantastic bunch of humans to do it all with.

You don’t need to be a professional singer. You *do* need to be able to hold a tune, enjoy performing and be up for throwing yourself into it.

And judging by this lot… a sense of humour probably helps. 😂

Could THIS be your September? 🎶❤️

We’re getting very close to the start of a brand-new SPS term, and *auditions are now open for new members to join us this September*

This gorgeous little glimpse comes from our Summer School and captures so much of what I love about Sing People Sing — a room full of people listening, learning, working together and creating something genuinely special.

SPS is our auditioned performance choir, based in Southbourne, and it’s for singers who want a little more: more challenge, more musicianship, more opportunities to perform and more chances to develop their voice.

But just as importantly, it’s a wonderfully supportive group of people who absolutely love making music together. ❤️

Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings in Southbourne, and we’d love to welcome some new faces for the autumn term.

🙋‍♂️ We’re especially keen to hear from *tenors and basses*
🎭 Performances, masterclasses, workshops and LOTS of fabulous music ahead

After months of rehearsals, countless hours of hard work, hundreds of pages of script and music, and an incredible amount of dedication from our cast, crew and volunteers...

We're so proud of every single person who has helped bring 'School of Rock' to life. From our youngest performers taking to the stage, to the experienced hands working behind the scenes, this production has been a true team effort.

Last night, we shared the noise, movement and brilliant energy of Sing People Sing

Tonight, I wanted to share something quieter. 💙

This is Alice, one of our wonderful altos, photographed during Summer School. I absolutely love this picture because it captures a side of SPS that audiences don’t always get to see.

Behind every big performance are hundreds of smaller moments: listening closely, learning something new, taking creative risks, laughing together, encouraging one another and gradually becoming braver than you thought you could be.

SPS is about singing ambitious music and creating unforgettable performances—but it’s also about the people beside you while you do it.

It’s about being part of a group where every voice matters, every person contributes and everyone genuinely wants one another to shine.

If you’ve been following us and quietly thinking, “I would love to do that,” perhaps September is your time to find out.

Our friendly new-member auditions are now open, with rehearsals taking place on Wednesday evenings in Southbourne.
