Remixed returns on Saturday 10th June for another night of old skool rave, hardcore and jungle in Bournemouth!
This time round we're proud to present the legendary DJ Nookie / Cloud Nine!
Nookie / Cloud Nine are names known the world over for releases on Moving Shadow, Reinforced, Good Looking Records, Metalheadz and many more.
Undoubtedly one of the leading lights in the Drum & Bass scene, Nookie, aka Cloud Nine / Second Vision / New Balance / Binary State / Gavin Cheung, originally went by the production name of 'Main Attraction' providing Hip Hop remixes for ragga artists Ninjaman and Cutty Ranks back in 1990.
One of the most prolific and versatile producers of the 90s, his seminal hardcore / jungle crossover 'Gonna Be Alright' / 'The Sound Of Music' from 1992 is a track that continues to regenerate with every generation. One of the biggest and most unforgettable tracks of that era!
Classic early Nookie / Cloud Nine hardcore / jungle anthems such as 'Give a Little Love', 'Love is the Message', 'Shining in Da Darkness', 'Drummer of Doom', and 'Only You', to name but a few, are still loved to this day and continually played by the biggest names in the scene.
The word 'legend' gets thrown around a fair bit, but Nookie is someone that well and truly deserves the title. It's an absolute pleasure to have him appear at Remixed!
