Our beginner students did an incredible job this week! We spent the sessions mastering the essentials of acrylic techniques, and everyone wrapped up the day by painting their very own stunning seascape.

🎨 Fast & Expressive: Urban Sketching! 🏙️✍️

This week, our students dived into the vibrant world of urban sketching—and they absolutely loved it!

Acting as visual note-takers, they started with speedy pencil sketches of busy street scenes before locking in their lines with fine-liner pens.

To finish it off, they brought their lines to life with watercolor! The results are wonderfully spontaneous, expressive, and look like they were captured right on the move. So proud of their creativity this week! 🖌️✨

Wrapping up our final week of oil pastels, and wow—our students did an absolutely wonderful job bringing these beautiful camels to life! 🖌️💛

We took a little imaginary trip to Cairo on the back of a camel today, and the creativity was just incredible. So proud of everyone's hard work and beautiful blending!

Sand Dunes
Week 4 kicked off our first foray into oil pastels, with returning students creating breathtaking sand dunes set against atmospheric blue-violet skies. By blending rich, golden pigments and using gestural marks for texture, the class explored the medium's depth while an oval format pushed their compositional boundaries. It was a fantastic exercise in color theory, using complementary tones to bring these glowing, coastal landscapes to life!

This week, our returning students plunged into a glamorous synchronised swimming project using watercolour pencils! They mastered subtle skin tones with limited colours, focusing on lowering chroma and blending hues. We revisited body and facial proportions, explored foreshortening and movement, and created striking compositions.
Meanwhile, our new students focused on building strong foundations in portraiture, figure drawing, and proportions — learning the essential dimensions that support all great artwork.
