Hey folks, after chatting with some very nice visitors to the club last week I feel we need to be a little more clear about what the club is and what the club is not. We would love new people to join us, but don't want people to be disappointed due to misconceptions
The club is a space for people to play tabletop games of any kind. We do not supply the games, just the space, tables and some scenery and mats. The majority of people play miniatures games like Warhammer 40k or they use the space to run D&D games. Sometimes groups play card games and board games.
Everyone pre-arranges games, you will not get a game of something just by turning up but you can just come along to say hello and find out more.
Do we have people that play classic board games like Monopoly, Scrabble, or Catan? No. Do we have people that play Magic the Gathering? Also no. But we DO get people asking us about these types of things regularly enough that we know they are out there.
If you want to play something that nobody currently plays, your best bet is to join our Discord channel linked in the comments. Introduce yourself and tell us what you'd like to play! Even if you don't get an immediate response, someone might see it in the future and respond.
Finally, if you are completely new to these types of games and would like to get into them, let us know and we will do our best to find someone to play against and learn the rules. The Discord link will be in the comments along with a link to some other FAQs.
