I have been busy and so lucky to be working on so many amazing projects with We are in the countdown to the BEAF Festival. This image is one of the workshops. We have created a set of ‘painting with light’ postcards from these workshops, produced by participants from Bournemouth and Poole College in photography workshops at TOSH. The words on the postcards are inspired by their first thoughts of the UK when they arrived. The postcard will be on sale at the festival.

Participants from Seeking Refuge are working together to create a large communal cyanotype, stitching together the stories and journeys of all those who have fled their homes and communities. The Stories We Thread will bring together all the voices of the Seeking Refuge project; the young unaccompanied refugees, asylum seekers, and all the refugees who come to our weekly workshops.

The exhibition will be displayed as part of BEAF Festival 2023 at The Old School House from 17-25 June 2023 which coincides with Refugee Week.
