Inspired by the natural environment the Cornish coast, and local birdlife. Felix is a q***r, neurodivergent painter, sculptor, and printmaker living and working in Boscastle – exhibiting in their gallery, The Old Forge Gallery, in the heart of Boscastle Harbour. Inspired by the natural environment, the Cornish coast, and local birdlife, Felix creates oil and acrylic paintings of various local scen

es, including Crackington Haven, Trebarwith Strand, and Boscastle Harbour. With a style touching on impressionism, they paint bold landscapes and seas. Sculptures made from reclaimed metal create wading birds: oyster catchers and herons, made from old farm tools and metal scrap. Sculptures that portray a fragment of our natural world in a reclaimed, recycled medium.

You can now enjoy the show until Sunday 11th May – so if you haven’t managed to drop in to view it yet, I’d love to welcome you into the gallery!

The show has filled the gallery with a glorious abundance of work: Daisy’s ceramics, inspired by Victorian English cake decoration and Southern European Baroque style, and my abstract landscapes, inspired by the walks I take in the local landscape, and attempting to capture the feeling of a “landscape on the move”, glimmers of memories of viewpoints, rather than realistic depictions.

It’s been such a joy to have the gallery space transformed by the placement of Daisy’s playful ceramics, and to see my work in a different light through the contrast of our two styles and mediums.

We’d love to welcome you into The Old Forge Gallery to see the show!
