Elstree Mozart Players Semi-Professional orchestra based in Borehamwood UK. Conductor Derek Holland and led by Lucy Cumming It was founded by Derek Holland, Cllr.

Elstree Mozart Players drew it name as a gesture of admiration and respect to the great conductor Harry Blech who founded the London Mozart players in 1949 with the aim of performing works from the classical period with an orchestra the size and layout to which all of the composers would have recognized. The Elstree Mozart Players invite you to join us for our Autumn Concert 2026 at Allum Hall, Elstree, on Sunday 27th September at 7.30pm.

We have an exciting and varied programme planned, featuring a world premiere, to be conducted by the composer himself, distinguished soloists and some much-loved orchestral favourites.

Violinist Serena Leader brings charm to Kreisler’s Liebesfreud and Liebesleid, and the orchestra delights with Grainger’s lively Country Gardens. The evening culminates in Beethoven’s monumental Symphony No. 3, Eroica: a thrilling finale to this year’s Civic Festival celebration.
