Elstree Mozart Players – Civic Festival Concert - Sunday 28 June 2026

Enjoy an evening of outstanding live music with the Elstree Mozart Players, one of Borehamwood’s leading community orchestras. The programme features Schubert’s sparkling Overture in C, Zipoli’s Adagio all’ Eleviazione, for cello, oboe, and orchestra, featuring soloists Juliet Maclean and Barry Solomon. and Crusell’s brilliant Concertante with soloists Stephen Randall, Caitlin Stock, and Tim Egan.

Violinist Serena Leader brings charm to Kreisler’s Liebesfreud and Liebesleid, and the orchestra delights with Grainger’s lively Country Gardens. The evening culminates in Beethoven’s monumental Symphony No. 3, Eroica: a thrilling finale to this year’s Civic Festival celebration.

This video promotes a special charity concert given by Janice Watson on Sunday May 17th , 2026.

This special event promises to deliver a rich and inspiring programme, perfect for lovers of classical music and anyone looking to enjoy a memorable night out.

Proceeds from the evening will go towards supporting Prostate Cancer UK and The Stroke Association.

These being the dedicated charities for this year's President of the Rotary Club of the Studios & Elstree and Borehamwood for 2025–26, George Carr, who is proud to champion these important causes, which carry out vital work in research, care, and support for individuals and families across the UK.

By attending, you will be directly contributing to these meaningful causes while enjoying a wonderful evening of music in the friendly atmosphere of All Saints Church, and we thank both the Church Warden Pam Kubica and Rev. Steven Young for allowing this concert to take place in the church.

A wonderful evening was enjoyed at the Elstree Mozart Players Spring Scratch Choral Concert on Saturday 14th March at All Saints Church.

Derek Holland, the conductor of the orchestra was joined by special guest conductor Meg Storer, who lead a sterling performance of Mozart's Overture to The Magic Flute.

The orchestra, chorus and soloists delivered a superb programme including Torch, Schubert and Mozart’s powerful Requiem, showcasing the group’s continued commitment to high-quality community music-making.

Special mention to the soloists for the evening: Janice Watson, Elizabeth Venner, Laurie Marks and Stuart Jenkins, plus the Muswell Hill Chorus who joined the 'Scratch Choir' for this concert.

Special thanks to members of the Rotary Club of the Studios & Elstree and Borehamwood, whose support behind the scenes helped make the evening such a success.
