The Phoenix is a vibrant local theatre and arts centre serving the community of Whitehill and Bordon We are based in Bordon, Hampshire.

Established in 1982, The Phoenix Theatre is a registered not for profit charity that specialises in providing access to the arts for all people of all ages and abilities. We deliver theatre, music, dance and comedy performance as well as a broad range of activities and workshops for people living in Hampshire, Surrey and beyond. We have a cosy theatre space that seats up to 100 audience, a newly r

efurbished dance studio and a conference room. Our bar is open an hour before every performance and is staffed by our very lovely volunteers.

Expect an intimate evening of music, featuring some of the instrument’s most beloved and instantly recognisable pieces, including the haunting Cavatina, the shimmering Recuerdos de la Alhambra, the much-loved Romanza, Bach’s serene Air on the G String, and the fiery Spanish colours of Albéniz’s Asturias and Granada.

🦴 MARY'S BACK! 🦴

After a sell-out performance at The Phoenix earlier this year, Fossil Mary is returning in 2027!

Meet Mary Anning, pioneering palaeontologist, fearless fossil hunter and one of the most remarkable scientists you’ve probably never been taught enough about.

Born in Lyme Regis in 1799, Mary found her first ichthyosaur fossil at just 12 years old. Her discoveries transformed our understanding of prehistoric life, yet as a poor, working-class woman, she was routinely dismissed, patronised and denied the credit she deserved by the men of science around her.

Now, her extraordinary contribution is finally being recognised. From museums around the world to Mars, where NASA named a drilling site after her, Mary Anning’s legacy reaches far beyond the Jurassic Coast.

Following last year’s sell-out show, Phoenix Associate Artist Elizabeth Blake brings Mary Anning back into the spotlight for another fascinating, funny and fiercely entertaining evening.
