The Role:
We're on the lookout for an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. You’ll lead a diverse range of projects from brief to build, working closely with clients, designers, fabricators, and crew to ensure seamless delivery. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that requires strong technical understanding, sharp organisational skills, and a calm head under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage scenic build projects from initial brief through to installation
Liaise with clients, designers, and production managers to interpret and deliver creative vision
Oversee schedules, budgets, materials, and workshop resources
Coordinate internal teams and subcontractors, ensuring high-quality output
Plan and supervise installs both in the UK and abroad (including shipyards and onboard ships)
Ensure health & safety and compliance procedures are followed throughout
Problem-solve quickly and effectively during all stages of a project
About You:
Proven experience managing scenic construction projects for theatre, live events and/or cruise ships
Solid understanding of scenic materials, fabrication techniques, and rigging/logistics
Excellent communication and client-handling skills
Highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines
Comfortable reading and interpreting technical drawings
Willing to travel occasionally for site visits and installs
A team player with a positive, solution-focused mindset
Bonus Points for:
CAD or technical drawing experience
IOSH or similar H&S certification
Knowledge of marine compliance or working in shipyard environments
